Btw this drama is unexpectedly good to me, I watched this because I randomly watched the dark trailer and it was so good plus the plot is interesting enough.
Seriously 45min of this drama felt so short, I keep wanting more, that’s how much I enjoyed this drama. The romcom between leads and side characters are funny, the romance is just so good too. I like how serious unserious this drama is.
Chemisty wise, I think Yukee Chen and Dylan Wang did great, they really look like sweet couple I can root for. Both are charmingly smart, cunning and calculative. I believe only Bu Yinlou can handle Xiao Duo and vice versa. Their characters are just really nice, I love super smart FL who’s not whiny kiddo damsel in distress 24/7 like some cdramas.

I agree with you! It’s just her big eyes making her looks 😳 sometimes. I like the way she did crying scenes so naturally. She can get teary eyes and cried effectively during emotional scenes with Dylan. I found some of Dylan stans love to belittle CYQ idk why he’s not the better actor than she is anyway, I personally found none of them overshadow anyone with the acting. For example, CYQ had more emotional scenes, crying scenes here but of course they will emphasize WHD crying scene more. WHD did better here than DFCQ imo the emotions are more varied here. Both have good chemistry too.

seriously? BYL looked at him with teary eyes and cried so naturally when she’s on emotional scenes with him more than he did but of course only his crying scenes will be highlighted. Plus the way she used her eyes to make cunning remarks with the empress etc I found her expressive, more than Dylan lol idk where all this nonsense came from. Her eyes are obviously bigger than him and when she tried to emphasize her emotion by opening them a little bigger, it looks more obvious. It’s just her big eyes.

tbh her eyes are bigger than Dylan obviously, and it’s her eyes are just big so it looks obvious when she only tried to open it a little express her emotions. Some did that irl too. She can cry very well it’s very natural when she looks at him full of emotions and it will get red and she will shed tears naturally. That’s a good acting there but I realized people just want to give more credit to Dylan than her of course because he has more fans.

lol I understand your disappoinment. Why would a super sucessful girl fell for such a childish good for nothing guy. I get annoyed with his character at times, he brings trouble to everyone imo

I will just say this drama is good, the acting, chemistry and GO players plot are interesting. Landy Li is especially good at acting. I love the chemistry between leads, the sisterhood, brotherhood(but there's betrayal), family bond etc. The ML is not a toxic or arrogant character to the FL, I love the way he looks at her like she's his whole world...he's always staring at her from the first tim they met each other, there's a good reason for it but the way he looks at her is very sweet. He's always there for her and he literally offers to give her everything haha
Btw Landy Li has the prettiest eyes I have seen among c-actresses, like wow

I suspected Director Yin as the stranger who sent email to Xiao Xiao. But I agree with you, I'm quite frustrated with her character so far, so naive.

I'm on ep4, so my take on this...a good office drama with all the politics. Office workers can definitely relate. I'm watching this for. Zhou Yutong but as of now I wish to see more character development of her. I'm quite frustrated with how Xiao Xiao trusted a stranger, not her own boss she has worked with before.
For the main ML issue, yes I think the first male lead is Lu Mang but the main love interest is Duan Chong. You can cleary see from the beginning/ending credit. Lu Mang will be her great mentor/boss with her experience, Xiao Xiao will be her successor when she learned to trust him. As of now Duan Chong didn't appear yet tho. But this is 40eps drama, still long way to go.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this drama I randomly watched on wetv. Right from episode 1 when they started to get into ancient settings, I already like it. It's so funny, I laughed because of the ML & FL antics. I will definitely continue watching since I read good reviews about the ending. Btw I love both FL ML acting and visuals, they look very compatible.

I want S2 so bad but it seems like the main casts like Zhang Xincheng and Zhou Yutong are so busy with their hit dramas going on, I wonder if they can successfully recruited back the same casts especially ZCX & ZYT with their popularities now. It will be a hit if they managed to cast these two again

idk why many people talking about Su Xiaotong's character here even tho she's the most irrelevant. Her acting wasn't as good as the other as well.
I'm anticipating S2 of this drama but the main leads Zhang Xincheng and Zhou Yutong seem so busy and booked with their hit dramas now.

FCC did so well for his first drama, The World of Fantasy...he definitely has the talent as an actor.

it's rare to find someone who has same exact mind as me in the internet, so just dropping by to let you know that I agree with you about ren min being next zhou xun in the future, this young girl is very promising. I'm in awe watching her acting. Even on her debut movie as main role Cry Me A Sad River. This show is also doing wonders for her career. She landed a drama with Xiao Zhan. Plus she also has some resembelance to Zhou Xun

I'm a new fan of Ren Min, so I just watched this show but whoa I love it! Kudos to all the actors participating, I love the stage plays they did, reneacting famous movies/dramas. But they did get roasted by the judges as well. I pray for the best path for all of them after this. And my baby Ren Min, my admiration for her acting skill increased by ten folds, she's constantly getting all those S from directors, so proud of her...truly a promising young actress. Her skill is outstanding for her age imo

I seriously can't wait for this drama, we gonna get real angst now, both leads have strong acting and reputation on angst department. I watched Ren Min on her movie, Cry Me A Sad River and wow the girl can naturally cry in a heartbreaking way like it's nothing to her. I was so impressed considerang that the movie was like her official debut as main role and she was so young but she's able to carry such heavy emotion. I can understand why she can land this role with Xiao Zhan. She was so good on her first historical drama too, Serenade of Peaceful Joy. I would call her little queen of tears. She has a strong innocent, cute looks for Zhu Yan role. I can't wait to see her chemistry with Xiao Zhan. We all know XZ is such a good actor too.I will prepare my tissues for the angst.

MangoTV is really annoying, like what's the point of them uploadinv YT contents without eng sub? I'm prettys sure ifans are one of their goals as well but they seriouslu suck with subs. Iqiyi has good eng subs even tho they're still late with it, at least better subs than wetv. MangoTV also didn't sub Medical Examiner Dr Qin Silent Evidence

I'm Zhou Yutong's trash, I watch all her dramas since Cambrian Period. She's really good at acting, so gorgeous to boot. Her acting in this drama received massive praise from cnetz btw, with 8.4 on douban rating which is so high.

yup I actually really like her and I wish to see massive improvement from her in this drama. The plot sounds angsty and we all know angst drama require good acting to make it look believable. Luo Yunxi is a good actor at that so Cheng Xiao really needs to go all out for this drama imo

oh wait, so PXR & DYX have two upcoming dramas together as leads? wow
