yes I noticed that too! She chose smart character which suits her well. Her Xiao Feng’s character is still in mu heart tho. Young naive but so lovable. Now she chose more mature smart roles which is good. Yes I did read reviews of Shining For You, they did her dirty. It could have been another legendary role of her like XF. I wish this drama will hit big, PXR is such a good actress, she needs another breakthrough character.

OMG same! Because of the scandal, I did avoid HYT dramas but I recently like Chen Yuqi after I watched Unchained Love, her drama with Wang Hedi. And I proceed to watch And The Winner Is Love and now this drama. Surprisingly, I really like this drama. I’m on ep6 and so far it’s so good. I love it when I watched with no expectation and it turned out to be this good and engaging! I found Chen Yuqi a decent actress and yes she’s pretty. She was prettier on And The Winner is Love tho, with her fuller cute cheeks. She can act emotional scene very well and pretty when she cried. She’s a good crier imo, very natural. On ep4 of this drama, when Ayin was suddenly fired from the production and she had breakdown and cried while ML listened to her attentively, it was so good! That solidified their budding relationship imo, by supporting each other during their hardest time. Ayin was also there for him when he was trying to jump off the rooftoop. You’re right about the chemistry, they did have the chemistry to make my heart flutters. Their height different tho, too cute lol But I found her chemistry with Wang Hedi on UL is better, she was okay with Luo Yunxi too on ATWIL. I wonder if you had watched Unchained Love and your comment about it since you also like LBFAD.
I watched with no expectation but this is good so far. I’m on ep6 and I’m loving it. The chemistry is quite good, Hu Yitian looks so tall next to Chen Yuqi but they look cute together. A manly, virtuous, suposedly old fashioned man because he time-travelled from the past with quirky woman who’s passionate about her dream being a screenwriter. Ep4 scene when they had heart to heart talk after Ayin’s being fired from the production team was so good. She cried while talking about her crushed dream and it was a pretty sight of them, she cried while he listened attentively, she’s a good and pretty crier imo. I had watched another 2 of her works and she really can cry so naturally. When they both gave strength to each other, it solidified the budding relationship even more, before that they’re just a fangirl and an idol. She even started to get annoyed with his rich man behaviors, well I would be mad too if a man spend my money like it’s his lol Good watch I must say. Glad that I found another good story to watch.

This whole cut scenes is bearable because I just love XD-BYL so much, even with all the stupid cuts their chemistry is still strong. Thank god they didn’t cut the cutest kiss on the cheek scene. It was so so cute!
That boat scene deserved so much justice, from BTS it was emotional for both WHD-CYQ but they blatantly just cut it. If it isn’t for BYL-XD pairing, I might not be this invested in this drama. Luckily their cute kiss on the cheek scene managed to calm me down, I’m watching this for them.
