You don't really have to watch the entire series. There are a couple of compilation videos on the GMMTV YouTube Channel of all PeteKao scenes/ their storyline. I would definitely suggest watching those first before Dark Blue Kiss.

Im confused could anyone tell me which one to watch now? Im watching the Untamed but should I watch another one…
I would suggest watching the original 50 episodes first. The special version leaves out a lot of scenes, especially since it's way shorter. The special version is more focused on Lan Zhan and Wei Wuxian's relationship and it's a more condensed version from the original. You can always watch the special version of the show after to see the extended scenes because there aren't many differences.
