Same goes with Jdramas. There r few good romance ones but nothing good in thriller n psychological. U r watching Trolly, looks good, let me know if it's any good I'll binge.
Madadayo meaning Not Yet is a simple n comfortable watch about a professor who is highly sensitive,funny n loved by all.I think it's more about his students than himself,he is a Lucky one for sure . This movie is like a tribute to teacher-student 's pure relationship , its not fake ,those old times were like that only, people were more sensitive n loved each other with their whole heart. I found many scenes repetitive n draggy, still it's a very nice movie n i adore those birthday dance n singing performance by his students who are really old but still kids for their professor,such sweet memories.

I dnt think it's going to b twisted like ichi as it's new n korean n i watched a little, the gore scenes looked unrealistic but if u like this alot let me know i will give it a second chance if it's something i shouldn't miss , i got really bored with the plot so i dropped it.
This survived only bcz of classic Japanese melodramatic OST which i love so much. Drama n characters were so good before time skip,i liked smartass MC who can easily lie n manipulate but then it went downhill ,no character consistency bcz of short timing,this was like 20 episode long old soap operas which are actually good but this one was without any chemistry n emotions,had to skip alot. Manami Higa looked amazing before time skip,i fell in love with her sociopath n mysterious character.
This drama isn't genre specific ,it is neither mystery nor detective /investigation drama but covered many characters n their own stories which are linked together.Tiny plotholes but sure is entertaining with a good plot.
Ep.4 Using the knife or vase like last episode would have been believable instead of a gun bcz there's no way to use a gun without the loud sound which doesn't wake a sleeping person.So that was a plothole n it turned me off .
Only Japan can deliver the same repetitive stories portrayed differently with newness which can't get u bored n show various perspective n they sure can come up with innovative posters n covers . The plot was nothing new but how it was presented with hilarious comedy ,touching moments n great acting is gripping. Tori is a versatile actor. Drama is filled with veterans but it's still so underrated n understated. I like Watanabe Aya even more after this.
Started off really good but i dint expect a Jdrama like this to end up with romance playing a major role in the end where Jdramas stick to genre n never mix up other genres, disappointed at how it went downhill.
Highly symbolic piece of art that needs undivided focus.Loved the character of priest .I pity those patients. Delighted to see young Tadanobu,he has done some good movies in his early days . Shunji is a brilliant director to make beautiful movies like this or undo .I loved the direction n music.
I am so generous that i even like trash sometimes but i cudnt with this one .Came for psychological tag, stayed for Suda's pigtail but this was so bad, i watched at 2x n still got bored.Watch John Wick , ichi the killer ,kill Bill or something for brutal n better action choreography if u want that,this movie had nothing except popular n good looking young actors n no it's not arthouse type of movie like few comment said below.
Most of the dramas today use informal daisuki (i like u alot) rather than formal aishiteru (i love you) n i appreciate that they said that to each other in this drama which was very much required.Someone who watches Jdramas will understand what i am trying to say, we get a good drama with amazing chemistry but it ends up with couple saying daisuki which feels less intimate n make me feel empty for some reason. I hope they bring the old trend in modern dramas too.
I think it's safe to say this one is the BL of the year apart from Old Fashion Cupcake n More Than Words. I m not much into supernatural bcz sometimes it comes off as too melodramatic or comical but this drama was more of a slice of life than supernatural ,which was overshadowed by mature dialogues n deep meaning. Like cherry magic.
Nostalgic music, precise,beautiful ambience, somber tone n no melodrama or ugly crying given the heavy topic . This won me over. Everything about this drama was so gripping i felt like i was watching some old 90s anime. Both actors are new but they left no excuse, they were so good especially Sora kun with his heavy n deep voice. I hate 'fish kissing ' but i found it adorable here. Lovely drama.
