I don't think ML is trash. Yes, he is happy about her death. To be honest, if I were in his place and had suffered…
i feel like you're missing a lot of things she has done for him. yes, she took revenge on her brother. but she also stopped her mom from messing with him and the whole reason she did that married couple interview was so people would stop calling hyunwoo a gold digger. she even took time to select the perfect pictures of him and asked for the final say on what gets published.
also, in the hunting scene, it wasn't clear but haein was walking a bit away from her family too and hyunwoo was behind her. her family excludes her too and blames her for her sibling's death, so she's not "happily hunting" with her family without him.
Her daughter in high school rlly annoys me shes extremely rude and uncaring towards her mother who's just trying…
in south korea, the college process is extremely stressful and 12th grade is a very crucial year for students. yes, the daughter could be nicer to her mother but i can also see where she is coming from as her brother got a lot of support at her age while she feels confused and abandoned. the dad doesn't even want her to go to art college, her counselor tells her to ask her mother, and her mother is too exhausted to help her. i get why she is frustrated (which is no excuse to take it out on her mom) but i feel like viewers could be more understanding of her. she's not heartless or selfish like her dad who wouldn't give up his own liver (remember, she was begging her dad to save her mom).
