tbh I really didn't feel that bo-ra had anything more that she needed to grow/develop in that warranted an ending like that. it did nothing for her character, why did she have to go through that??? the scenes at the exhibition would have been just as meaningful if she had eventually met woon-ho at the end of the exhibition because she didn't know he was dead at that point! it would've been the same vibe but with a happy ending!!!! the ONLY part that gave his death meaning was that very last video in the tape and it's like they only did it to connect with the title :(( like did they write the ending before everything else and then just kept it???????
I got soooo invested in this movie and I honestly loved feeling that way (I also really loved seeing woon-ho's actor again since record of youth :3) -- I had such a blast while shouting and gesturing at the screen whenever something happened lolol it also made the tears fall a moderate amount (I'm telling you, I was so invested). and then the ending. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it ruined the film for me, because I did still enjoy watching those last 20 minutes (and the very last video was particularly touching) but I do agree with the sentiment that they should've done more with it if they were gonna do an ending like that. like, they should've showed MORE about why that ending is meaningful, otherwise you just have everyone going WHYYYYY (which people are doing right now)
Hey y'all, this comment's for all y'all out there who are having doubts about this drama: it's still possible…
Probably my biggest complaint about the last arc of this drama: why was Chuxin's comeback soooooo unsatisfying????? I would have had no problem with Wu Yajun and Han Zimo giving them so much trouble IF ONLY Chuxin were given a badass and satisfying comeback in the industry. I wanted to see their success dammit!! Cause everyone knows they would be a hit if they weren't always hindered by those asshats. Show us that!!!
Other than that, I have to agree with the top reviewer on the points that should've been handled (better), though I personally wouldn't have rated it so low. I was kinda expecting them to wrap up matters with the mom? But she barely even shows up in the last part of the show???? They show her for like one scene where Luoshu tells her Chuyao won't becoming home because she's on a business trip (but was actually kidnapped). What was that scene even there for??? And I was kinda hoping for a solution with her, but she was really just used more as a plot motivator than anything :/
Hey y'all, this comment's for all y'all out there who are having doubts about this drama: it's still possible to enjoy watching this drama even though objectivity it has a large number of flaws. It's true that it felt pretty dragged out at the end and the last episode was unsatisfying, but it was still interesting enough for me to keep watching until the end, and I never hated it. I'll say this, I was looking for another Bai Jingting drama to watch after binging You Are My Hero and Reset, and this drama was the only one that kept me interested enough to keep watching past the first episode. Give it a try, maybe you can get some enjoyment out of it.
I just watched this movie as a kind of one-off thing cause I was bored and wanted to see Li Cheng Bin but it actually made me sadder than I thought it would at the end. Though I kinda knew where the story was going towards the end, it still hit me in the feels pretty bad
I'd heard that Falling into your Smile was Xu Kai's first modern drama so I assumed that all his previous dramas were like traditional historical dramas, but I was really surprised to see this! I wanna watch it now, Xu Kai in a 20th century style is totally appealing to me rn
I actually don't want them to make a season 2, I think the story's good where it is. what more is there to tell? don't tell me the two start doing s*x trafficking in australia too
loved this drama tbh. morally ambiguous lead really had me thinking "omg yes he's such a badass" at times but ultimately "wow that guy was such a scumbag" by the end of it. tbf everyone kinda was, except like mr. lee and idk the teacher I guess lolol. I can't believe this drama had me thinking "man, this cop is so annoying" when there was illegal stuff going on and she was just doing her job 🤡
Can I watch it here? Or do I have to watch it somewhere else
mydramalist is not a site for watching drama, it's a site for tracking drama and showing synopses, stats, actor profiles, etc. this site usually points you to where you can watch the drama though. This one can be seen on Viki or on Youtube
I hope lots of people will watch this after seeing park hae soo in squid game hehehe I'm expecting good things from this film!! also excited to see kim dong hee c:
