Yess exactly! It honestly rubbed me the wrong way as well when I first started watching, but for some reason,…
You're not being negative at all! As someone who also struggles with their mental health, I felt so angry at the drama. It rly felt so degrading, like it's already so hard to struggle, but then ontop of that media telling you to basically "suck it up, it could be worse" is frustrating.
Yes, it was frustrating that they disregarded mental illness of even being an issue. I didn't like that they shamed…
Thanks for sharing! Honestly I'm glad to hear that it was helpful for you, because I started to worry that it was deterring actual mental health issues. I appreciate you sharing your experience and how it helped you realise the effect it would have on others, wishing you the best!!
I agree with you so much! In the first episode I immediately connected with Yi Jae which later made me feel so…
Yes right!! That's exactly what I thought too, seeing it funded by the gov made it so icky for me, South Korea has a huge stigma with mental health and instead of funding their resources, or even encouraging therapy, they made this drama instead??? I also lost it at the mom being the last person, like ?? how is that 'more painful' then literally losing your limbs, its such a slap in the face to say that the mom was in more pain than her own son who suffered from severe mental health issues.
My sister also LOVED true beauty, she was so mad I didn't like the end, but I'm glad there's more ppl that like it.
RIGHT CLOY is AMAZING!!!
