In general, no! Longer drama can be the best ones, really. But then there are always bad eggs, no matter the episode number xD
I'm excited for you to get into it. Haha! I need a drama I can talk to someone about, rather than tell someone about XD

yup! The funny thing is, the longer drama often tend to have the least filler, while the smaller ones are either too rushed or packed with it! Korean drama often has a thing for noble idiocy and makjang, so I suppose that cuts the pace down a lot xD
mhm! It will, I ensure you, keep you interested. There's a continuous push-and-pull game going on between certain (actually, all!) characters, but it's always fresh and exciting. I think you'll come to very much admire and fear Park Gi-Woong's acting - I did! (Gi-Woong = Kimura Shunji x3)

Not so much in transition - it's still incredibly plot heavy initially and GREAT. But it really gets to the good stuff once those are done. The thing about Gaksital is that there's no filler. It's fast paced all the way through - all you get is story and conflict throughout.
My only gripe about it is that the cliffhangers become a little repetitive sometimes but it's the most nitpicky thing to say, because I still found the cliffhangers very good! and beyond that little something, I have infinite love for this drama. The actors (especially Joo Won and Park Gi Woong) and actresses are genuinely very impressive.

and you know the best thing? Gaksital is great initially despite the fact it doesn't even find it's feet properly until about episode 5-6 - it just gets better and better~ *u*

Since you're a Siwon fan you ought to watch Legend of Hyang Dan! a mini-drama so only 2 episodes and it's pretty good! x3
