Yeah, I always wondered this too Bc it does seem very extreme. I can’t speak on SK, but I do know that bullying portrayed in US films is nothing like bullying irl here. My cousin from the UK asked me if bullies really give wedgies and call names like “dweeb” and “dork” in the US…so yeah perhaps the SK bullying in film is exaggerated somewhat but still happens. Maybe it also depends on the school and area.

Even though I started liking Gyuri more after episode 4ish, in the long run none of this shit would have happened if she just didn’t interfere. SHE’S the one who put Jisoo through all this shit by getting the gangster involved with that dumb idol and everything but Jisoo had to suffer the consequences. I know he’s the one who started the business but the way I see it he was just providing security to girls who were willing to do compensation dating, not forced. It’s still illegal but every time he talked to his clients he made sure they actually wanted to do it (ex: the idol) which made it hard to hate him for it. I still really liked this show but the ending could’ve been better I feel so bad for Jisoo he worked so hard to graduate but after getting involved with gyuri everything went to shit.

Uh I disagree. He had no time to think about anything else in the moment. The only thing on his mind was that he wanted Yuri to live. He was heartbroken and traumatized from her death. Anyone in his position would do the same, it was a matter of life or death, ofc he would try to do anything to let her live. Yuri even told MJ that he didn’t mean any of it, and she knows him the best. Why does everyone fail to sympathize with ganghwa?? In my opinion he was in the worst position in all this.
