And FUCK chanyoung, idk how they managed to butcher a character to this extent but it was nothing but appalling. Chanyoung went from being Heesu’s childhood bestie who noticed Heesu's feelings for him on his own and then made it his goal to get his bff a loving boyfriend who would reciprocate his feelings in the manhwa, to a complete asshole in the drama that somehow makes his friend's confession and coming out (which he lowkey forced out of him by guilt tripping for keeping secrets and shit) all about HIMSELF giving me the shit "I wasn't ready, HMPH!" that heesu had to SAY SORRY TO HIM EXCUSE MEE WHAT WERE THE WRITERS THINKING. BOTH times heesu and chanyoung fought it had to be HEESU to reach out first and apologize. FUCK THIS
this was NOT a BL. NOTHING about this drama was satisfying. Every episode just pissed me off more and more. This is what happens when we get a cast of mainstream actors rather than nugu idols that need to pay bills. CENSORSHIP AND ERASURE.
Am I the only one who didn’t really like how baekjin had to be defeated by baku then sieun and then Baku finishing the final blow? In a way that’s an unfair fight I wish they just made sieun defeat him 🙏🏻
Long rant ahead: I would just like to rant about the gay erasure. Compared to how many cute moments heesu and seungwon have in the manhwa, i can confidently say they have showed less than 1% of it. it seems almost as if they’re trying to censor any sort of skin-ship between them, but then we get a 50 second clip of the straight couple holding hands and frolicking on the streets, as if anyone cares? Yes, im glad that in this episode, heesu seems to finally acknowledge a change in his feelings, but the development was just not enough for me. All seungwon had to do was say ‘wow a shooting star!’ and heesu folds? The manhwa had SO many adorable moments leading up to the confession, where seungwon would shyly (and sometimes boldly) flirt with heesu, making him confused and conscious of seungwon. But none!! NONE! of that happened here. The mischaracterization is also insane. Chanyoung being a selfish bastard that only cares about some girl he just met? Manhwa chanyoung only had ONE goal, and that was to make his best friend happy. Anyone who is remotely a fan of this, please read the manhwa for the full experience. the only redeeming thing about this drama is the cast.
Could be anything, maybe secretly drinking when they’re not supposed to, idk. He did get “caught” drinking before. Idk anything other than he’s actually an undercover NIS agent and these are his team members !!! LOL
Can someone explain to me why the teacher seeing 3 random people in his house makes her come to the conclusion that he might not be a high school student? They could literally be anyone…relatives, friends, etc.
No hate but am I the only one who doesn’t care about the mission or plot? I’m literally watching for the seo kang joon eye candy, the high school shenanigans, and the romance. The plot stuff seems boring to me I triedddd
So many questions left unanswered. What were those glasses Brother gave jian before? What was that secret door in the bathroom and why was it covered in gun powder? What was the point of fucking jeongmin in the story? Has season 2 been announced or what? Tbh, I tbink we just needed one more episode.
I understand what you mean but the drama’s main focus is a romcom. I really like it tho because it gives me…
That makes sense, I never fully enjoyed 2016 era of kdramas. But I do like romcoms tho so I wouldn’t say it’s the genre. I think I cant take it seriously when the characters who have been silly throughout the whole show start to be serious as well 😂
I really like this drama but it’s just starting to get a little too corny for me. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I just have low cringe tolerance. I will still be watching bc I love the characters and the plot, just the execution and development is so corny.
Read that SHK purposely lose a lot of weight for this role to match that MDE is malnourished and thin. When life…
I didn’t even say it was ugly to see them together nor did I say I was against age gaps in general. I missed where it said JYJ was actually a couple years younger so I thought they were pretending he was older than her in the show which I found hard to believe since in reality he looks way younger given that he’s almost 10 years younger than SHK in real life. I know the point you’re making is valid, but my comment was not meant to be a criticism on older women or age gap couples in any way. I think they look great together.
I loved this drama, only complaint or maybe just a small pet peeve is that the age difference between LDH and SHK is a lil too obvious, he looks way younger than her (and he is) but she’s calling him sunbae in the show. Lol.
