Dang, a lot of things happened in one episode. The best part is that we’re finally back in the real world—well, except for the Wuwu couple. The next episodes are going to be exciting.
There are so many mysteries surrounding Lu Wuyi. She’s clearly different from the other foxes, and we never got to see her past. The illusion sequence also hints that she’s deeply connected to that little snake, or possibly Jiu Ying. When I look at the drama’s alternative titles—"Painted Skin" and "The Resurrection"—it makes me think she might not be a real person at all, but a shadow or puppet created by Jiu Ying.
Jiu Ying was defeated by the dragons, but its spirit still remains. It can possess a living body. It created Lu Wuyi, who looks the same as Di Zhu. But this shadow is different from Ji Ling, who is made of wood, but in the case of Lu Wuyi, she was made from actual fox bodies. That's why she can keep the fox appearance.
Now I’m starting to doubt the current Chi Wen/Ji Ling as well. He might also be a shadow of the real Chi Wen, created from a real fox. In that sense, both Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi aren’t real. They have their own consciousness, but they’re essentially shadows of Chi Wen and Jiu Ying, who were mortal enemies. Ji Ling and Wuyi love each other, but their love is ultimately impossible.
I now the ending will be sad but i just can't prove it 🙏🏼
The way the plot is progressing, honestly we can’t expect a happy ending for both couples. As long as they give at least one couple a happy ending, I’ll be happy.
Pursuit of jade, love beyond the grave or this drama? which is better?
All of them are good. Fortunately, we’re blessed with such high‑quality dramas this year. In terms of story and plot, this drama is better than the others.
THEORY1. FOX OR DRAGON LORD: Puppet JL keeps sharing the story of it being a fox and nurtured by someone. Puppet's…
1. Yes, the current dragon deity is an impostor. He’s actually a fox. I saw a Weibo clip where Tian Jia Rui said his character is a fox, not a dragon. And all the clues point to that. I believe Ji Ling’s fox memory is actually his own memory.” 2. Most likely he is a dragon and the 10th son. If you look at the character calendar, it shows a dragon, while the other three characters all have foxes. 3. Nice theory, I think the same. There could be multiple villains as well 4. That’s a very good theory. The snake must have a purpose in the story. I don’t think they would introduce a snake as an important character in this show, so it being a dragon is very likely. 5. Nice theory.
Just checking the character calendars and noticed that Wuyi, Wangyan, and Jiling all have a fox in their calendar, but Shi Guang has a dragon. Does that mean he’s actually a dragon?
Dang, I didn’t notice it before. All of the top five cast members have multiple identities. Ju Jingyi and Tian Jiarui even have three names listed for them in the cast. This might be the first time I’ve seen something like that.
He got it from XiaoWei and XiaoWei is the best at using “word power play” in the 9tails sect.
Yes, he explained it, but I still think he might be a fox. I believe the fox memory from Ji Ling is actually Long Shen’s own memory—he transferred it to Ji Ling. And when Wang Yan mentioned the prophecy about the downfall of the dragon deity, he didn’t seem worried at all. Let’s see.
I see people complain about ratings on almost every drama page, and I usually don’t agree with them. But for this drama, I honestly don’t know what to say. Anyone who’s actually watching it would agree that its rating should not be anything below 8.5. The current rating is genuinely shocking.
Just finished episode seven and I have to say he’s very smart. He put all those clues together to figure out…
Does she really lack all five senses? From what I can see, she definitely has at least two. She can hear, and she can see—maybe her vision is limited, like only seeing in black and white, but her hearing seems perfectly fine. Did I miss something, or did they ever confirm that she is missing all five senses?
The beginning was a bit slow, but by the end of ep 7, things definitely got more interesting. I’m enjoying the drama a lot more now. Dilreba and Arthur both are great in their roles. The only thing I didn’t like was Dilreba’s “fake acting” in the first few episodes — it felt a bit too fake, lol. Maybe the director wanted her to play it that way. But once she switches to her usual Ghost Queen persona, she’s fantastic. Overall, the drama looks great!
Well, I finally finished it. I couldn’t even really watch that otherworldly alternative universe because it…
I'm glad you posted the review. Its a different type of review but still convey all most of the key points. So, you normally writes a review for every drama you watch? That is lot of dedication honestly. Its not worth it. It's better to move on quickly and start a new drama.

Yeah, I agree. They could have introduced the political explanation a bit earlier, not at the end when you don’t care about it anymore. Anyway, your comment already reads like a review, so copy‑paste is totally fine. As for me, I don’t think I’ll write a review now. If I start, I don’t think I can stop writing, lol. There are just too many things in my mind. I’d rather skip it and move on to the next drama.

Hi Enigma, excellent review. It hurts a bit to see that the drama I love has so many problems, but I still liked the first arc too much, so I gave it a 9/10. As we talked about this yesterday, I really wish they had written and filmed the military arc differently. I wanted to see Chang Yu as someone who is strong not just because she holds the title of general, but because of her growth, her battles, her life experience, and her leadership. That’s how she could have become a truly powerful character. One or two lucky wins don’t make her strong or worthy. I also wish the ML had more screen time and a stronger presence on the battlefield, instead of us only hearing about him through other characters. It was such a wasted opportunity. The drama had every potential to be great, but somehow it left us with a bitter taste.
And I have to mention the last arc as well. Everything about it felt inconsistent, poorly written, and very underwhelming. But honestly, I didn’t care much by then because the weak writing had already been obvious for the last 10+ episodes.
Overall, I still gave it a high rating because the first arc was truly special to me. Since you’ve already written this comment, you can easily turn it into a full review. Comments get buried, but reviews stay. Hope you consider it

Crazy theories, haha 😁😁
