These dramas including our movie are calm , realistic and masterpiece. I believe their target audiences are mature adult and people who want to experience love through melodrama . Even we know the ending , but there is something that keeps us waiting for upcoming eps .
At the beginning, I didn't like FL's personality and I felt that I was watching a mixture of typical family dramas that tells the story of ML and FL from the same town , falling in love in high school , leaving their town to Seoul , having fame in Seoul , then suddenly meet after their career crisis again in their gossipy town and with the cheating ex arc . However, the more I watch this drama , the more I feel sorry for FL and her family . Alcoholism was their defense mechanism to escape their real issues and the father was the responsible for his daughters behaviors because he didn't learn from his mistakes but he encouraged his daughters to follow his way. The culture of drinking is also part of resolving to alcohol to hide the sorrow and to fake happiness . This drama is the journey of FL and her family to being sober and it highlights the path of quitting alcohol .
40 ep is too much for this story , I believe 20-25 ep would have made this drama better . The last 10ep were horrible and rushed and the revenge was below my expectations especially after watching top revenge dramas . I believe Lu yu xiao deserves better stories like a dark revenge story . Anyway , I have nothing to add and my final score is 8/10 for the sake of the time I spent watching this drama.
