Thanks. But I meant : TO UNDERSTAND THE STORY, do you need to have read the manga or seen the anime ?
I don't like it when you need to get a lot of references to understand what's going on. Feels like you're being dumped in the middle of the story instead of the beginning.
So does this drama work as a stand-alone? Or is it like that John Wick series where even though it's a prequel, you need to have seen the movies to understand wtf is going ?

Does one need to have seen the anime or read the manga to watch this ? Will it be confusing for people who know nothing about the source material ?
