I think it's bromance?
I watched this series back when I had no boundaries—I used to feel like I had to finish everything I started, no matter how bad it was. So here I am, having watched the entire series and finally able to give my review.
One thing I noticed is that GMMTV has a pattern: the pilot is always so good, it really hooks you in. Episodes 1–4 are usually solid, then the rest just kind of... exist. It feels like they're just trying to finish the project, and unfortunately, this series falls into that pattern too.
What's disappointing is that the main leads aren't newbies. They're both experienced, especially in the BL industry, but somehow, when they're paired together, the chemistry just isn't there. I'm not saying they're bad actors—it's just that their chemistry feels more like best friends than romantic partners.
Like I said, from episode 5 onward, it feels like the series is just going through the motions. It's still watchable, just... not that good.
