As of today, all episodes of Ame ni Kieta Himawari have been subbed. :) Hope everyone who watches with my subs enjoys it!
I really liked this one. It's less about the mystery and more about the emotions of the people involved in these harsh criminal cases, and I think it delivered its message nicely.
Felt weird deleting all the MiraTen-related stuff off my hard drive, but I'm happy to be able to say I completed my first J-drama subtitling project. I went into this happy that Kimurasan wasn't going to be in a romance and BOY did that bite me in the ass.
Still, it was an honour to be able to work on this. Some expectations I had from the beginning weren't hit, but the drama remains solid, and anyone who likes to get attached to characters is guaranteed to have a fun time. MiraTen's an easy, casual watch-- it was perfect for my Thursday media consumption habit. I don't know if the boxing's any good from a technical standpoint because I know nothing of the sport, but the drama feels more about the significance of having things you're passionate about in general.
Thanks to everyone who watched with my subs and waited for me. Thank you ESPECIALLY if you watched them using the softsub + raw method instead of supporting the folks that profit off my work.
Hope everyone else that watches the drama enjoys it! It's not revolutionary, but it's entertaining, and I figure that's the point of fictional media anyway.
I’d like to thank the subber a lot for taking this up! Watching Hikari in this drama fills me with joy ☺️
Thank YOU for giving the show a chance! Mitsushimasan's acting has been stellar to watch -- she makes the role so charming in a way other actors couldn't, in my opinion.

Also, Tsuyoshi Muro was incredible. As expected.

Keitakun and Shougokun's scenes are always some of my favourites to translate. They have such good chemistry!
