Basically after reading all the comments I think I'm the only one who's not disappointed with the ending...I mean…
Beautifully said! Literally every history season has a good ending excluding just modc and I don't get why is it so hard to understand that life can be cruel sometimes... Life is full of surprises, not only the good ones. The ending is not ruining the series at all.
Wow. I am fortunately a person who likes sad endings and I think it all makes sense, so I won't criticize it. I think this kind of ending the series makes the most impact. The ending is supposed to show you that life is unpredictable. That people take everything for granted. You don't know what will happen tomorrow, that's why you should enjoy every single moment with a person you love. Boys were thinking too much about the future, and not enough about the present. That's a common thing for teenagers nowadays, when everything in society goes so fast. What happened is of course extremely sad and tragic, but possible. I really like the last episode, as it made me think about life and reminded me to slow down sometimes. It will be interesting to rewatch it after knowing what will happen at the end, I think it will give a completely new perspective. Overall, the ending was unexpected, realistic and good. Xi Gu and Hao Ting will stay forever in my heart.
I have no idea what got into me, but this episode was so emotional that I cried. Xi Gu deserves everything. It is so sad how people don't appreciate enough things around them, yet he is the happiest about the smallest gestures. It is so unfair that life has been so tough for him. If he smiles - I smile automatically. I cannot even think of something bad happening to him, as some people are predicting. It would literally made my heart bleed. So glad he has someone like Hao Ting. Even thought he acts childish, Xi Gu needed someone in his life. I know how it feels to be alone and I'm extremely happy he is finally getting what he deserves. Waiting for the next episode, things are getting interesting!
I feel like the drama is more about a succession of small events rather than big moments
Yeah, but I didn't feel the same way with other seasons. I just feel like this story is not going anywhere, I just don't feel the climax coming. I was so hyped for modc, but I'm losing my interest with every week.
I thought this will be my favorite HIStory part, but episode 4 got me questioning it. Everything is moving fast, and the problem is we don't see a lot of things, we just get to know what is happening from characters' conversations. For example Hao Ting studying with Xi Gu. It's ridiculous. That drama and Hao Ting getting attracted to Xi Gu had so much potential, but at this point I'm disappointed and I wonder if they will fix it in the next episodes. We should see their relation's development instead of what we were given.
During the first few minutes of ep 4 I was super confused and thought I really missed an episode, because everything between the characters seemed clear all of a sudden. Another thing, Hao Ting was surprisingly rough towards his girlfriend, like what even was that. He is portrayed as a person with really soft heart, and he could say goodbye to her way better then he actually did. Also, how many time had to pass and how many things had to happen for Xi Gu to let him inside the apartment? It's crazy, wasn't he scared before? I wouldn't like someone following me everyday anyway.
I won't even comment on the second couple. I don't understand their scenes at all. The one is whining all the time about how immature and naive the other is just to hug him a few seconds later, because "no one ever had told him this". No comment.
Can I mention unnecessarily "funny" scenes? Like the one with bl book, that light shining out of it really wasn't necessary. I thought that even though these series is about high school environment and not all of the characters are mature, it could be done seriously and without cringy scenes, but I was wrong. Unfortunately.
It's still a very good series though, but in my opinion they could've just done it better. Let's see what next episodes will bring.
I know that Type and Tharn are casual lovers and that means they're more than sex friends, but they aren't formal…
Hmm, I think they met only once and it was the time we have actually seen, it was still the same day when he came back to the room. I also think it's very weird and I wouldn't go for it, but in my country it actually happens and is pretty common when you talk with someone you don't really know but like their appearance and well… you just want to get laid as soon as possible. So I feel like Type is just desperate and tries to run away from his feelings for Tharn. On the other things I agree :)
I will add to the previous poster's comments that Tharn knows what he is getting into. Let's not pretend that…
He haven't done anything wrong after discovering Type's past. He's trying to protect him, get closer to him, he even apologized on Type's behalf. He just wants their relation to be clear and honest.
And actually, I don't think Type is that much of a strong person. He tries to act as a tough guy on the outside, but the real him is different. Which is exactly what Tharn knows.
Since the story is fictive but the source ot Thype being kind of introverted is real. It may happen that he is…
Is he introverted or just seems unlikeable to others though? There's no doubt he is struggling with himself for a long time and I'm not expecting him to change immediately, it is a looong way. But he knows what is he doing. And everything will work out only if he pulls himself together, I'm not saying he will do it now.
I feel totally torn inside. On the one hand I like Type less and less with every episode. He should just stand in front of a mirror and admit to himself that he likes Tharn, stop playing games and learn how to apologize and show gratitude. He is so annoying I wouldn't like to be his friend and actually he doesn't have anyone close at this point (not mentioning Tharn) , definitely not Techno. He is not honest with himself and that's his biggest problem. On the other hand, he never said Tharn is someone more to him, their relation was never formal and he has absolute right to see someone else. I'm curious how his relation with a girl will turn out. He shouldn't give any hope to Tharn though, for example kiss him at the bar. Summarizing, he needs to get his shit together. Overall, I really like the drama even though it's not perfect. I think it's involving, brave, it's definitely one of the best bl shows we have. Can't wait for the next episode.
I just love how open-minded the characters are, Xiang Hao Ting wasn't scared, ashamed or anything while discovering his feelings towards a boy, he just went with the flow and I truly love it how are they all so chilled about affection
