very underwhelming and disappointingwanted to see what the hype was about so i had high expectations...wtf was…
We all have issues with the writing. Not necessarily the writing itself because it’s words strung together, but those who wrote it. We have issues with them.
1: The Doctor is annoying and I want him to go somewhere.
2: I may have seen too many police dramas, but I have a sinking suspicion that the lead investigator has a dubious past. Too many closeups of him to make me think otherwise.
3: I wasn’t sure about this at first but so far I like it.
I know it’s the first episode and I’ll probably tune it, but the screenwriter is the same one from Hit, Bite, Love and Gen Y 2. So I’ll just have to see.
After reading some comments, I had to go look for myself. I enjoyed this for the most part. I agree that some scenes should have been cut after the goo-goo eyed staring, but it’s Boun and Prem so I kinda got past it.
Then I started to feel like I’d seen some scenes before. I liked “Star in My Mind” because I got to see something new from Joong, but again, there didn’t need to be that tug of war. The acting from the guys is pretty great and I like how far they’ve come and hope they continue to hone their craft.
However… please stop with the goo-goo eyes. The only goo-goo eyes I still enjoy are Nanon’s because you can literally fall into that molten chocolate.
But… I did cry when Boun started to any time he did in this show…
I’m not enjoying this part as much as I somewhat did the others. It could be because I don’t really like survival shows since there have been a lot of controversial ones in the world of KPop recently. The acting is pretty on point and I understand it’s supposed to show the struggles behind the scenes, but it just makes me sad. There are some people who will scheme, plot and destroy others just to be on top while others are trying their hardest to make their dreams come true. I’m still watching so I don’t miss anything for the final couple since they’re all somewhat interconnected, but I think some of this could have been better executed.
I agree with most people on the bodyguards. They have have little no bearing on this story and should be limited to screen time.
I just read the novel again since I couldn’t remember if we had any chapters from Mangkorn’s perspective. There are some but it’s mainly told from Yai’s. So I enjoy what little we find out about Mangkorn. In the book I was surprised to find out he already had a fiancé. I’ve spoiled enough because hopefully they’ll somewhat reconcile that in the show like they did in the book.
I don’t think we’ll get as many spicy scenes as in the book. However, I do like some of the character development. It’s subtle right now about how obsessed Yai had become but that’s a good thing. I’ll keep turning in to see how it goes.
With Koon, it's not her fault entirely since it's because of Pan that she does those things. Pan is the one that…
I guess I’m so used to the obvious product placement for a show now that the managers are like “they can’t have this product, or he can’t hold his phone” is weird to me. If there’s a reason in the messages, I never got the translations. If not, then Nott’s manager is being demanding. I’m also getting strange vibes from Koon so I’m not sold on her doing what’s best for Pan. We’ll have to see how it plays out.
As of now, I can say one thing. I hate the managers. Stop doing stupid stuff and let the director do his job. They’re so frustrating it makes it hard to watch sometimes.
Also I’m having a hard time connecting emotionally to some of the actors. I understand what’s going on after reading/watching fan reviews from last episode, but there’s just a disconnect somewhere. Some of it feels way too forced. But I loved seeing Heng and surprise! They were my favorites in SCOY.
After a little research (meaning I went back to see who wrote this drama), the director wrote the screen play for the special episode. He should have just written then entirety of this show. The person who helped write this show also either wrote or helped write Mama GoGo. I had to drop that one because I was bored even though I love half the cast on Mama GoGo. Maybe, just maybe, he is the problem. But that’s my opinion.
I liked the trailers and was really excited for this. I wasn’t a huge fan of Billy and Seng in SCOY but I’d thought I’d give them another chance. I’m still not a huge fan of them. Some parts I was rolling my eyes. It just felt like their chemistry was a bit off.
It’s an interesting story and I’ll keep watching. I want to see how the other stories play out, especially First and Toru since they were my favorite couple in Y Destiny. I guess I’ll have to hang on and see where it all goes.
I actually enjoyed it. Even some of the zanier moments. I figured out who was who pretty quickly, but Koh… 😡
It wasn’t my favorite. That still stands with The Sign currently since DFF is still airing. But I liked it. Sprite kept me giggling.
