i’m probably biased since she’s the FL but i understand SJ drawing strict boundaries with the courtyard family right now. i think that she just wants to dissolve into nothingness and distract herself from her current situation, so having to interact with people is exhausting to her. that’s why she just wants to take her clothes to a laundry room and not be “in the way.”
in an ideal situation she would have found a room with a less comfortable & “accommodating” family in that case but i understand both situations. they are just being friendly whereas she just wants to be left alone. nobody is really the “bad guy” here, imo.

don’t mind me cause i’m catching up so i’m only at episode 24, but the staircase fall & catch was fire 🔥 i love the leads chemistry, wish we got to see more of it but it’s early days still lol. the fall actually reminded me of one of my favorite longform kdramas, “vengeance of the bride,” and i checked who’s directing this one and it’s actually the SAME director. so no wonder it gave similar vibes. the 2nd fl in that one was also constantly hurting the fl then getting screamed at by ml for it.
