i appreciated the leads chemistry, but i don’t understand whyyy so many dramas have to have the last episode with the leads broken up for it. like c’mon. i’d soo much rather see them work out their issues together rather than suddenly get back together at the end. still happy they got together in the end though 🥰

Hmm okay that’s what I was thinking. Especially since the episodes are shorter than other Thai dramas I’ve seen. But I mostly watch older Thai dramas so I wasn’t sure how they were doing it now.

Yup. They'll air dramas that got filmed earlier that year meanwhile they have dramas from 2020/2021 that still haven't been released with no updates.. crazy.

I did actually read it :) but it’s fine to assume I didn’t just because you don’t agree with my opinion. Like I said, this whole rumor just gives me deja-vu. And “legit sources” aren’t always accurate either. We won’t know till/if it ever airs 🤷‍♀️

you never know with cdramas. i'm pretty sure "the last immortal" finished filming early 2023 and then it aired dec 2023. but it could also take much longer than that. just depends on when filming & editing finishes and if it passes review.

they should just "surprise" drop this one before its too late xd

i swear i remember hearing something similar to this back in 2021. my thing is... cdramas rarely ever do re-shoots. so unless they had already filmed love lines in case of this, i don't really see how this makes a lot of sense. i could be wrong, but i have zero memory of any reshoots happening. also, like i said if they had this pre-filmed, why haven't they submitted this version yet? if they are just going to use tricky editing to make it appear more hetero then... lol. it'll be interesting having read the novel & knowing how the characters actually feel.

it’s so interesting to me how tame longform kdramas are now in order to appeal to all audiences—however in a drama from 2002 theres a scene where fl dances in a very “spicy” (for korean standards anyways) on stage with another man in front of ML who she is trying to seduce, who is currently in a relationship. like am i crazy or this kind of thing would never ever fly today. or if it would happen it would be the evil 2nd lead doing the spicy tango, not the female lead. just an interesting observation on how 2002 seems more open to that kind of “racy” if you will, themes. vs today we have a very formulated & acceptable makjang that passes through on longform kdramas. it feels very conservative in comparison, don’t get me wrong, this drama isn’t exactly crazy or wild by western standards, i just found it interesting thinking about how i don’t think i’ve seen a scene like that one in any recent longform kdrama. also anyone else who’s watched this/watching it noticing the heavy usage of american pop music? 🤣

at least iqiyi was bold enough to TRY to release it 😢 lol
