Can this be a standalone?
Not really as you wouldn't know the backstory of the characters as well as how they came about

I had missed Machida Keita in the bl genre since Cherry magic as he had portrayed yuichi so well. He didn’t disappoint me again. He does so well in this genre

I just have one question. Did Seo Jeongin really sleep with Iljo? They never explained why Seo Jeongin said that.
No he didn't. Iljo mentions it in the texts he sends to Jeonghan. He was just trying to create misunderstanding to both the sides ig

Tbh I’m confused too… like what are we supposed to take from this? That the only ‘relief’ from domestic abuse is killing the abuser? I get that in the story it symbolizes finally breaking free, and yes, it shows how desperate and trapped a victim can feel… but it’s heartbreaking if the message ends there. I really hope the drama is trying to show the severity of abuse, not suggest that this is the only hope left for someone suffering. It’s powerful, but also so painful to think about. In this society we live in, it’s full of corruption, the kind that protects abusers and silences victims. That’s why the drama feels so heavy. It shows how, when every system fails you, people start believing extreme choices are the only way out. It’s painful, but it’s also a reminder of how broken things are, and how desperately we need a world where victims don’t have to reach that point just to survive
