I feel like it might be more in the drama - he seems to be too successful and senior to only have a 6 year age gap with a rookie.

Was anyone thinking that we’d get to see Luke play in the basketball game? I so thought that was where it was going and then nothing…..

I agree to a point, but this drama is helped by the fact that there are limited side plots and no real second lead story. I am just thinking about it as The First Frost length but without the second lead / grandparents story which was arguably the weakest aspect of the whole drama.

Which of his other dramas would you recommend?

There is so much to object to here - but instead of dropping it in disgust, I am seriously invested - what is wrong with me?

Yes - especially considering that the ML has only a year to live! Time should be everything but it isn’t.

I agree - he is divine and really refreshing here. I was really affected by the scene where he was enduring the needles in his back (ep 25. I think). His ability to show that excruciating pain was impressive.

That wedding scene in episode 20 is the best I’ve seen. That part where he withdrew his hand, afraid she did not want to take it, only to have her take it anyway was beautiful. He was divine in this scene and her harsh exterior couldn’t help but start cracking - loved it.

Ok - first we got the wrist kiss, then the head on her shoulder - what will be next ? These things should always come in threes, and I know they won’t disappoint!

I think you might be right. The scenes with him from the past must be from a long time ago - maybe something happened to him and then her trajectory changed over several years from servant to powerful concubine. I’m looking forward to the big story reveal!

Agreed - I haven’t been entertained by the first part of a drama like this since Dynamite Kiss - and that tanked badly in the second half. I hope this one does better. Fingers crossed!

I really hope that we see the rival actress actively pursue the clueless neighbour/manager thinking he’s the mystery man in the blue sports car - that could be fun if done well.

Ok - loving this but need some help because I feel like I have missed something. Does the female lead in modern era recognise the ML as the Joseon prince from her past life or are we expected to believe that the half mask is an adequate disguise and she’ll work it out later? Confused!
