This was a really beautiful story, but I'm disappointed that a cliche car crash death and a random illness were thrown in for no reason. Additionally, not every show needs romance either, but this one obviously did. Not in the "it would be boring without it" type of way, but in the "they are very clearly in love with each other and have both gone through the necessary journeys to realize this" type of way. It was frankly unrealistic that neither of them confessed some sort of romantic love, and that's genuinely just because that's what the narrative was insinuating with their relationship. Of course, them having a bromance is also equally fine and realistic, but not if the story is clearly indicating that there is something more between them. There was so much potential in ryu and johan to create a beautiful love story amidst mundane, REALISTIC tragedy, but alas, the writing decided to remind me that this is a fictional drama wandering to find a core audience, rather than emboldening itself to embrace one specific one.
I don't usually write reviews because I only care about a show being disappointing if I know it could truly be a life-changing narrative. This one had that potential. It was unfortunately only half delivered.
acting, direction, and everything else were absolutely beautiful. Just a little disappointed. Also, I think this is the best I've ever seen ok taecyeon—he was amazing. I'm also happy to have discovered some new japanese actors too. I'm hoping that in this big 2026 writers will finally stop writing for "anyone," and start writing for an idealized audience, like every other form of media. we are talking about netflix here, though, so who knows if that'll ever be possible.
Yeah great CGI and all but I dislike it because ML is a complete dick that's just out to trick FL for her rights. You…
Yeah I agree that the main guy was being kind of a prick lol and of course that's not the only reason people would dislike it haha I know I said that in my above comment but it's because I see the show as so amazing :) It's not for everyone of course just like how I don't like certain genres,, so you're totally right on that point! And I agree, the CGI is amazing!
no one really mentioned chanyeol's small role as a negative xD I don't think people are that petty to hate on…
true true haha. And if people dislike the show in general that's fine bc it's not for everyone :) I just really hope people aren't discouraged by the comments before they watch it for themselves :))
I don't know why people are saying that this show sucks because honestly, it's so damn good. The cinematography, cgi, and plot are all awesome. There are only two episodes out so far but I'm already hyped for more eps next week. The only reason I feel like people might leave a bad review of this is bc Chanyeol is in it and some people might not like EXO lmao. And if that's the case, then that's really lame. But anyways, Everyone's acting in the show is stellar so far and I'm pretty sure it'll only get better from here. I've seen a lot of K-dramas but this is the first one I've ever seen with this kind of concept and this kind of budget. They're really going all out. Give it a chance, because I think you'll find that you really like the series. I'll be watching the whole thing because it has amazing potential, I hope you'll all enjoy it as well!
