I think it's because in the previous scenes XY casually says she wants to hang out with XL but can't because of her bloodline. In the book, it says that he has a lot of regrets regarding how he treated his family so now he just wants to grant her wish.

Yup, I just rewatched that scene. Grandfather should have added that now she and FFB aren't BFFs anymore too. Lol. But I do wish the drama added the bit where she feels a bit of comfort knowing that XL can feel her pain through the love bug as well.

Oh yesss yess now that you summarized that up, it's all coming back to me. I think it's more correct to call it depression rather than JUST pining over TSJ or XL. There was no one cause for her depression basically. How do you think the drama portrayed this time? Accurate as in the book or leaning towards heart break from TSJ more? I might need to rewatch..

The show makes it seem like the whole time she was with her grandfather she was pining over TSJ. When I read the book, I didn't get that impression. I remember in the book when she was still lazing around, her grandfather asked "Where is that boy FBB? You should ask him to go play with you." And that made her mood turn bad cause she didn't want to think about FBB at all (because she's pining over him...as well?). Am I remembering wrong?
