Three episodes of the side story (“Waru: Koisuru Otoko ga Kakko Warui Nante Dare ga Itta?”) is better to be watched after corresponding episodes of this drama, not after completing it: 1st episode of the side story after 8th episode (so it is kind of 8.5) 2nd episode of the side story after 9th episode (so it is kind of 9.5) 3rd episode of the side story after 10th episode (so it is kind of 10.5) Because scenes shown there chronologically go right after those episodes (8, 9, 10) of the main story.
Does the FL end up w/ anyone? Or is it just one sided?
*even though it is an old comment, decided to reply if anyone else might be interested in the answer in the future*
she doesn't. two guys confess to her (if we include side story drama as well), but she doesn't like them romantically. the guy she likes — she doesn't confess to him, and for him we only know that he finds her interesting as a person. it might sound a bit sad, but actually all relationships in this drama are hilarious and touching at the same time. it is a very uplifting drama.
There was a moment when ML explained to FL that since she would be working as his assistant she would meet a lot of important people and she needed to learn to read the mood, be careful and attentive to everything (don't remember his words exactly, something like this) — at that moment I thought that he was already “training” her to become his wife in the future, lol.
For me one of greatest points of this drama are the main leads. They actually display the characteristics leads often have in other full-off-cliches dramas, but not over-the-top and in a much more realistic way. Like the way he reminds her of the way she treated him in a village — but it is pretty clear that he is not serious about it and he doesn't do anything to actually make her suffer. And he is pretty smart and self-aware. FL is also very realistic and relatable, at least for me. I think she is written very well as a character who doesn't get on easily with others, introverted but not shy. When she is with people she trusts she blooms. She is also not that righteous-heroine-fighter-for-justice that dramas have as a FL too often. She tries to live according to her values, but she doesn't forget about self-preservation and acts very realistically in every situation. Like when she's put on a spot she stumbles and is scared to say anything because she knows what is right but at the same time she knows how any wrong move can ruin her life, which she obviously worked hard for. I guess she will get more bold with ML's support, but if the director of the hospital had been another person, probably it would be right and very realistic for her to go with the flow.
And I'm waiting so much for the second couple, I hope that FL's best friend and ML's male assistant will have their own story ^^
I'll also add the whole point for ML's mother, she is amazing so far.
I'm not surprised that she wanted to be his assistant, She just wanted to get out of the toxic company of her…
as i got it she might be able to get the same salary, but not the same benefits. for example she might have to pay off her house for 30 years if she stays in her current hospital, but for 50 years if she moves to another hospital (which means the mortgage just wouldn't be approved and she'd have to settle for a much worse house she can pay off in 30 years).
I regret not waiting till it’s finished to binge it. But since I’ve already started I need to watch every episode as soon as it’s available with subs 😭
It is very manga-ish… like it's not that “oh that would never happen in real life” kind of movie it has really very exaggerated cartoonish scenes, but it's kind of cute if you enjoy this kind of movies/dramas.
Hahaha loved the scene where Tanaka had been listening to all that Amagi's “we were just doing yoga” nonsense till the end with a straight but kinda amused face and then he just said “I am so sorry. I am not good at pretending to be fooled”. Lol. Poor Amagi.
episode 5: now I am sure that the cutest of them is Takara-kun! Amagi always seems over-the-top to me, he has kind of 'learnt cuteness', but Takara's cuteness always comes from not knowing how to respond to situations when he feels insecure/ashamed/vulnerable and it's funny how in front of Amagi he still tries to play cool, but feels comfortable enough to be vulnerable in front of Amagi's friend.
yep during the first episode they show us 3 different timelines… 1. first chronologically but shown the latest:…
the dramatic scene with everyone crying is at the end the first is the part when takara is shown to choose the same activity club as amagi, but the whole scene is shown closer to the end; so it would be easer to think of everything apart of the dramatic scene come in first. so everything besides the dramatic everyone-is-crying-raindrops-are-falling scene is going first (flashback).
I dont get it. In ep 1 when they both cry and was on bad terms is that a flashback?
yep during the first episode they show us 3 different timelines… 1. first chronologically but shown the latest: takara's pov and how he got into environment-something club activity with amagi 2. second chronologically: when they both were doing that club activity, amagi realized and confessed his feelings and they "started dating", then amagi started having doubts wether takara even liked him 3. the third chronologically but shown fisrt: that dramatic scene where they are both crying and confirm their feelings
1st episode of the side story after 8th episode (so it is kind of 8.5)
2nd episode of the side story after 9th episode (so it is kind of 9.5)
