Title Queen of Tears Spoiler
I have a real love–hate relationship with Queen of Tears. Neither lead character was perfect, but Hyun-woo felt like he kept getting the short end of the stick throughout the entire series. For some reason, his role reminded me of the older brother in The Bond—always enduring more than he deserved losing himself in the process. .

What really broke me, though, was the ending. Seeing Hyun-woo outlive his wife—who didn’t even live as long as her grandfather—completely destroyed me 😭. I haven’t been able to stop crying. It honestly felt like the show wanted the audience to sit in that pain.

I understand that loss is a part of life, but after everything they went through, I just wanted both Hyun-woo and Hae-in to finally have a long, happy life together with their family. They earned that peace.

In my opinion, the turning point in their relationship was the miscarriage. That moment pushed Hae-in back into the emotional coldness she grew up with and caused her to shut Hyun-woo out. From there, everything felt like it slowly unraveled.

Strangely, the ending actually raised my rating because I’ve never cried this much over a show before. It hurt deeply, but that just shows how invested I became. At the same time, it’s the kind of emotional weight that makes it hard for me to watch dramas back-to-back—I get too attached.
