This Jdrama has the issues listed below, the only reason I could think of ratings > 7/10 is the acting performance of the veteran actor/actress who played the lead roles.

1) No creativity: The main story plot is just a variation of the hollywood movie named "Ghost", with elements that are borrowed from different TV series and T/J/Kdramas. Moreover, the main plotline is flat with weak writing so its rating shouldn't be more than 7/10.
2) Simplistic mystery plotline: I knew who is the perpetrator in Episode 1. This shows the screenwriter wasn't doing a good job in writing a mystery story.
3) Slow SML: The character Uozumi Yuzuru is too chill and slow for an investigative policeman.
4) Dialogues writing style similar to other sources: If you have watched this Jdrama https://kisskh.at/31692-boku-wa-mada-kimi-o-aisanai-koto-ga-dekiru and Tdrama https://kisskh.at/39715-some-day-or-one-day , you see the familiarity there.

This supernatural crime story that could have written better, even if it is repurposing other sources' ideas.
If you want to watch a creative supernatural crime drama like this one, I recommend this old Kdrama https://kisskh.at/28622-today-s-private-investigator . It has the same rating but the story plot has some creativity.

This old Jdrama was adapted from the original novel that is currently at 54 volume. It makes me wonder about the original's author's perspectives on SA against men by powerful men, as the assumption that the male victims will turn homosexual due to this traumatic event. There is a possibility that Japanese people who lack of scientific education and SA awareness, believe this. Shockingly, the worst part of this drama are the ML's friend who encourage the male victim to suck it up, forgive, and love their male perpetrator. Could this explains a lot about most Johnny idols' sentiment on Johnny Kitagawa sexual abuse?

> What an interesting thing the influencer said that CJH did a lot of homework and did some ad libs too.

It was the main actress who told the influencer about CJH during their interview. The influencer, IMO, is rather childish and shallow in his comment. LOL!
Here is the video but need to turn on auto-subtitle (Chinese subtitle is better) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=megWCzAEEsY

Thank you for sharing your current drama. I will check it out :)

Very valid points and I agree with almost everything. Personally I didn’t like Daily Dose of Sunshine 😭💀…
Just added a note that I was so obvious to me: Just for FYI (don't need to response back)

(EDIT: I decided to tell everyone that Kdrama "Should We Kiss First?" scenes are referenced a lot in this drama. Example: One notable scene that repeated a lot is the umbrella scenes with the leads. I personally curious why it was repeatedly the easter eggs.)

> Yes, I was watching some BTSs and FL seemed like a very social and likeable person and seemed to enjoy acting with CJH.

Indeed. In an interview with the youtuber's influencer who was also a character in ELY (the youtubes FL watched to find out certain Korean words), she mentioned that everyone (actors, staffs, directors, etc) was happy everyday at the filming sites (they laughed a lot). It was a great experience for her. She also mentioned CJH did lots of homework and studied the script deeply. He would suggest and discuss certain scenes to incorporate some ideas when he thought scenarios could work better. She also mentioned, CJH tends of Ad lib the dialogues a lot . When I think of it, everything CJH did was a common culture/practice in Korean filming practices - An example: The MLs from Goblin Ad Lib BTS were popular once. Another example: In Mr Sunshine's BTS, LBH suggested an idea to his co-star on a specific scene and it turned out better! :D).

Agree with your feeling about the ELY's FL's annoying reactions and overly timid character.

Thank you for the recommendation. He is now one of my favorite korean actors. I will watch all his drama projects, I promise. :)

My character analysis: As for the FL in Eye Love You, this character was written to be a timid person who is afraid of bitter life after her mom died, afraid to love after a "traumatic" response by her first love, and lack confidence in herself that she has to get her male friend to give her approval to follow her heart. Because of her timidness, she just doesn't know how to love someone or don't know what true love is, other than her dad. Because of relying on her special power, she didn't learn how to understand people around her. While her friends and ML have took effort to understand her. All in all, she isn't a likeable and flawed character.
In real life, the Japanese actress is talented. She has a fun and sociable personality. And, she seemed to like to make Chae Jong Hyeop laugh while they aren't acting. :D

Well, story is better (final episode has an epilogue) but since it is a very very old drama, the filming quality is lower and the pacing of the story telling is slow. So, please don't have high expectation on the production value.

So, in this drama, idea of "a time travel object with number of time travels and the FL figures out the duration stay in each time travel" was borrowed from "NINE: Nine Time Travel".

It's a very well made show, interesting concept and well acted, but its just not for me. I just don't enjoy watching…
Well, the storytelling/narrative is unique as it conveys a message/perspective with just by telling each characters' story as if you see the ML's character grows as he begins to capture the wisdom of life while living in other people's shoes. If you watch till the end, you will see it.

Review Lovely Runner
Hello,
While I was close to finishing this drama, I decided to read reviews because I have more to say about the writing, plotline, and characters.

1) I like golden retriever characters IF they are well-flesh-out, have certain depth, well-developed with personality, and written thoughtfully. However, for this drama, the ML character is rather simplistic, no character depth and no personality.

2) The FL has no character development and is inconsistent with her age. As a 30+ years old woman who have gained sufficient knowledge from her lived experience and exposed to future ideas, she doesn't act like one. Okay, we can understand that her first time travel is a sudden/shock situation that she needs to learn to figure out/access her situation, but as the number of travels increases, her character should grow smarter and wiser. Unsure why screenwriters couldn't write FL in Time Travel K dramas that is matured, capable, and smart like the MLs in the same genre: Think "NINE:Nine Time Travel", "Queen In-Hyun's Man", etc.

3) Manufacturing scenario to connect the next scenario isn't good writing. Worst is many scenarios are "imitates" of many past/older Kdramas. It is too much that I find the plotline uninteresting and lack creativity. if the screenwriter wants to repurpose some scenarios in existing Kdramas, have them integrate into the original plotline to make the story flow organically. No, this drama's story/plot/scenarios are artificially manufactured. Unless you are like me who have watched LOTS of older Kdramas to recognize the scenarios, you won't understand why I wasn't amused. (EDIT: I decided to tell everyone that most obvious Kdrama "Should We Kiss First?" scenes are referenced a lot in this drama. Example: One notable scene that repeated a lot is the umbrella scenes with the leads. I personally curious why it was repeatedly the Easter eggs.)

4) Kdrama screenwriters need to step outside of writing characters who are screenwriters, idols, or anything related to entertainment industry because the ideas are getting old. Again, I was just un-amused that they took some ideas from "Be melodramatic" and "My Love Eun Dong"

5) I like the premise of A) fated (not in a good way) destiny/encounter that even time travels can't change certain events, as it is destined to happen in any forms or times; B) some characters become the variables that the FL couldn't control, again due to the way her character was written; C) The travels aren't silo or independent timeline but every change at the previous time travel could create a tiny ripple to the future of the current time travel.

6) What I couldn't enjoy is the cartoonist side characters are the skits to create dramatic comedy. After 15 years, all the side characters have not grown or matured.

7) The OSTis good but doesn't stand out for me. I meant whoever composed or chose the theme songs because they could be better connected (or more suitable) to the story or enhance scenarios but I just couldn't connect the scenes/story to the songs.

As I weight in the positive aspects: Acting is amazing, good directing, and production value, my fair rate for this drama is around 7 to 7.5.

Thanks for reading.

EDIT: Remove my thoughts on Kdrama "Daily Dose of Sunshine" and clarify the OST.

I have watched most of the Japan+Korea collaborated romance dramas. Most of them weren't great due to three main reasons: 1) the storyline is weak and Japanese characters are usually caricatured; 2) good chemistry between the leads was difficult to achieve due to language barrier and foreign culture; and 3) average production quality. So far, the top two J+K romance drama on my list are:

(1) Boku to Star no 99 Nichi (2011) - Great acting between the leads and storyline is one of the best from what all the J+K romance dramas I had watched so far. As usual, the Japanese characters are caricatured and feels unreal.

(2) Eye Love Your (2024) - Amazing acting by Chae Jong Hyeop who played the ML as he broke the chemistry barrier despite the language barrier. It is rather rare to actually see such ML in Jdramas (only in Kdramas) so it was refreshing to Japanese audiences that they were in awe and in love with the ML. However, the story plotline is rather weak and all the Japanese characters are rather typical or anime-ish, or stereotyped FL or caricatured characters that I often see in Jdramas, although all the Japanese actors/actresses played their characters excellently. The ML is the only character that brought life and warmth in this flawed story among the typical Japanese characters. I mean based on my experience on watching Jdramas, without the ML that was perfectly played by Chae Jong Hyeop, this drama would be rather dull. Regardless of the weak storyline, it is entertaining, charming, heartwarming, and funny.

I wonder, the next Korean actor who stars in a J+K romance drama will have great pressure to top Chae Jong Hyeop's acting performance. We will see. :)

FNOS is good actually with a famous director. It's just not promoted well by MBC. Even Kkondae Intern made him…
IMO, Park Hae Jin's roles in FNOS and Kkondae Intern are similar. In fact, the writers who wrote dramas he participated often reminded us of his famous comedy-action drama "Man to Man". It feels like he is "stuck" or stereotyped in that kind of character image. So, I don't see much of his role deviation in his few recent dramas, although the genre of the dramas are different; roles - not so much different.
The thing is I see his acting has as much potential as Jung Kyung-ho's skills but Jung Kyung-ho got all the good scripts to play interesting characters. So, I am slightly frustrated that Park Hae Jin isn't receiving the same opportunity to play interesting, complicated or complex characters.
You mentioned he is starting anew in a new agency. So, it could be a silver lining in his future career path.

It is underrated for not being popular enough. However, the rating here is overrated because it isn't better than "Sell My Haunted House".

Half way through this drama, I realized the story and characters were obviously inspired by Kdrama "Globin" and may be picked up a few ideas from other supernatural/fantasy Kdramas. The story is entertaining with a slight creativity. Unfortunately, the second lead(Seo Hee-soo) and his dad, Cheon Ye-ji, Cheon Ye-ji,'s boyfriends don't have back story like their pastlives to explain their connection with Hae Chun-Moo, Cha Cha Woong, and Go Seul Hae. For example, the story would be stronger if Seo Hee-soo was descendant of Hae Chun-Moo's or Choi Gum's family. Then, it brings depth to the characters Hae Chun-Moo or Choi Gum.
Anyways, It is a decent drama with lots of fun with little suspense/thrilling but the writing could have been better and gone a little deeper. because it has lots of potential. The rating here is overrated. It seems actor Park Hae Jin's past few recent dramas aren't impressive. Why isn't he getting good script with his experience acting skills?

Did you watch the trailer it looks so white washed and might be too woke like the current Hollywood trend. CGI…
What do you mean by "might be too woke"?
The story ncludes tyranny (or facism or those current anti-science people) that want to stop Science, which is nothing "woke".
