I love this dorama so much. I didn't watch the k-drama, but I don't even want to. I prefer j-dramas.…
I won't simply recommend people to watch the K-drama version (2004) because the pacing is too slow, and certain aspects of the main plot may not be agreeable to many viewers. However, the essence of characters hasn't been captured in the remake yet (see Example below). I will wait and see as the story progresses.

For example: In the Kdrama, you can see the male lead's mess up life due to growing up without a loving home and parental love. His struggle, anger, resentment, loneliness, and longing for love and happiness are very well portrayed. The female lead also struggles to free herself, to find her self-worth, to find the love and happiness that she wishes for.

One important aspect that I hope the remake will capture is the female lead's motherly and unconditional love that make the male lead falls for her.

I wanna watch just because the original but the ml being 12 years older than the female lead is really off putting.…
In the Original, the impression I got is the main male character is supposed to be much older (10 years older) than the main female character because she always calls him "Ajusshi" instead of "Oppa".
