Hmmm Understand your point of view BUT:1. The flashback to the past was really short. It doesn't tell how long…
this makes so much more sense! i think i wasn’t able to sum up the reasoning behind her coming back to her country without slapping those b3tches. mainly bcs i was relating with her character from the start but forgot how my personality is entirely different from her and was kinda seeing myself in her. ive been thru workplace harassment and kinda fought tooth and nail although it did a lot damage to my mental health. but yeah your explanation def gives an alternate view on this.

i also understand how seokryu never actually loving her job contributed to her realising she has had no dream so far, but it still bugged me how the writer came up with “cooking” 😭 (im now expecting atleast a few flashbacks to her really enjoying cooking). but again, i guess my reason for the dislike regarding the cooking/finding love in the same ole small town thing is bcs it has been overdone a lot

U r asking why she came back? Maybe cuz she was tired? maybe she had enough in that foriegn land with not actual…
and just to make it clear, I did mention clearly in the comment that it was acceptable to me bcs I assumed that she must be exhausted and way past her limit. your comment was really so passive aggressive lmao.

u r literally assuming stuff ab me based on a comment i made about not understanding why a smart young woman would just let her exploiters get away like that? i just felt it was quite contrary to whatever parts of her character I’ve seen so far. she’s upfront and quick witted and talented, so i just expressed “MY” opinion about not understanding why she did not atleast made a complaint or something before leaving (wasn’t she a high performer? I’m sure it would have made some impact). either ways, i think you need to calm down and not attack people based on what they feel ab a fictional character. I’ve been through way worse at my workplace and my comment DO NOT give you a free pass to judge/assume who I am as a person and what I’ve been to.

started this drama bcs i really liked somin’s & haein’s performance in most of their shows even when i don’t necessarily enjoyed the show itself. it was pretty hard for me to get through ep 3-4, i feel the pacing can def be better. anyways, i didn’t lose hope and tuned back in for ep 5 and even when the plot really didn’t progress a lot, i still found this ep very calming. my only issue here is with the writer and the direction. here’s the thing: our FL is so smart and educated and quick witted, she even went to a whole new country at such a young age and was able to lead a successful career. now, i understand and sympathise with her on the workplace harassment she had to go through. my issue is why such a smart young woman decided to just accept everything and just leave all her hardwork for those exploiters to minimise & packed her bags to come back to her home country? this just doesn’t sit right with me. but it’s still acceptable tbh. what bugs me the most is how after spending her entire life being an intelligent and career driven individual, we now find her finding her “love/passion” in cooking. this isn’t to minimise cooking as a career but hear me out: isn’t this giving that typical Christmas movie where the FL comes to a small town taking her break from her big girl job and somehow falls in love with the man in said hometown who makes her realise how she actually loves being there and the career woman life ain’t for her? I hope this is not the case. but i just don’t think it’s very realistic or maybe I’m thinking too much lol. anyways, I’m seated for the next eps.
