so tru, i'm sick of people hating on it for no reason at all. like, yea, it's dumb. and?? if you're looking for parasite level quality entertainment, don't watch a cliche romcom.
i obviously do not give two shits about the enchante -dare i say it- * sub* plot, lol XD. because, let's face it, that is SO a sub plot. but anyway, i'm willing to see where it goes. i love theo and akk a lot though and no matter how dumb they are, i am only here for one thing: a cutesy, non-problematic bffs to lovers story :)))) so, i'm p. happy. i do have a few things to say about the overall reception for the show, though: a lot people keep on talking about how boring theo is and how weird it is that even akk, let alone four other people, could be interested in him. which, i suppose, makes sense. but, and hear me out, now: i) it's pretty obvious none of them (except akk) like him (pretend to, anyway) because of his charming personailty ii) just because someone is boring as fuck doesn't necessarily mean they can't be liked romantically. i'm actually pretty happy theo is vanilla is hell. he's like the antithesis of the i'm-not-like-other-people trope. he has nth going on for himself except being an overall good person and pretty rich. which is fine. normal is fine. boring is fine. i need more boring, vanilla ass people in media. i obviously like akk's character more, but i can totally imagine myself being friends with theo. and anyway, akk's known him since they were twerpy kids and we haven't, so you know, he has grounds for being attached to him. also, a lot of people are shitting on the plot. which is barely there and unrealistic, i admit. but, honestly....i have absolutely nth to defend the barely there thing with. but, this is a romcom, guys. who watches romcoms for their super ground in reality plots???? i'll tell you who, NO ONE. okay, but fr. this isn't a quality show, it's a comfort one. maybe it would be better if everyone who decides to watch/continue goes into it with that in mind. if not, well, you're right bestie -you deserve quality entertainment. so, rant away XD
