This one is really good. The humor is great, the production is excellent. The actors are all very good. Another side of Fumiya's acting. He's a chameleon actor. Every role is different. Worth watching if you like shows like Tokyo Revengers, etc.

The FL is like dumber than dirt. Oh yeah, putting on sunglasses at night, while wearing the same lawyer suit will totally disguise you. Maybe I just don't like that actress.

I wasn't making fun of it - just thought the speech pattern was funny-cute. Sounds like a little kid talking. Which is how a foreign language would be if you only recently learned it. His English is excellent though.

I tried to watch the anime version years ago and couldn't because the VA for Memma was so annoying. Glad I found this live action. These actors were very good and grew into some great actors. Nijiro, Minami, Jun, Marie and Airi have all been in lots of movies/drama since this in outstanding roles. Good movie! /sob

If you haven't watched the anime or read the manga, then you can't know if he's doing a good job... I'm not claiming…
I'm watching this drama as a stand-alone production and satisfied with it. I don't need to compare them to the original to know if it's good, worth watching or whatever. I'm enjoying the story being told and being entertained. Mackenyu's performed his role well, period. If you haven't seen the adaptation, then your opinion is moot here. I personally am not swayed by ratings or opinions and I like what I like and that's all there is. I was just commenting on Macken's acting anyway, not the entire drama (which I'll rate 10/10 just for the entertainment value alone.)
