Fadel bringing Style to his (future) tombstone is such a plot twist, by the way. LOL. Very Fadel, very poetic.
i loved this scene tbh it was my fav from the ep. very much romantic angst, dark humor, etc--and i loved how style just accepts it all and wants to fight for fadel :((

i lowkey feel like the only one super pumped about this (and wanting to be optimistic). ive seen people not want to watch bc its chao planoy and bc of a man being between them...but i hope it does well regardless bc emi and bonnie deserve that
the trailer gave away too much imo but we'll see
also i know comparisons will come ofc but i hope people don't compare this to pluto tooo much to the point of knocking it down bc this is a different story with different actors and a different team.

i don't even know why ppl are debating about the plot/no-plot thing bc more likely than not, if it's a thai bl, it won't have a plot, regardless of the "spicy" level lmaoo
cute gmmtv shows and explicit shows alike literally have no plot for the most part (obvious exceptions like triage, mod, msp, etc). if the plot is lacking (like for we are), then i'd watch it for the vibe and chemistry (only boo!!!!). and for some shows the plot is literally about sex as a tool & power dynamics (only friends, kinnporsche, etc.) granted, sex being the point doesn't mean that it still can't be weak storytelling.
it's really not that deep. but i think some people are slight bl purists bc they're afraid of participating in what they might see as possibly fetishizing. for some it's also just a preference thing. it's really all about vibes (we are is actually even watchable in spite of everything bc it has a clear mood and tone).

at least to me, this route is in character for both of them, and while it's not good that people were basically pressuring kang to this point, i really do understand him. kang was willing to try and be secret, but since they got caught, i think he didn't see a way out anymore. the unfortunate part is that for kang, there is a fine line between making decisions for moo because of fear, and not really trusting moo's outlook on the situation. and for moo, idk how much just trying at another company would have been an option for him bc his mom told him this was his last chance.

i won't say this was a necessary breakup, but i definitely think that compared to other shows that utilized these same tropes (boss and a babe, lovely writer) this show did so in a way that still (to me) makes sense for the story. i think we're just used to seeing these tropes play out and overdone, but i'm not mad at it here tbh. i don't like it, but i understand it. kang doesn't want moo to feel the guilt that he felt because of his dad's passing--his dad put kang first and kang is worried that moo will hurt in the end if he puts him first. he doesn't want to be the reason why someone he loves has to give up/lose something again. however, the problem is obviously that it isn't kang's decision alone to make. but we don't know for sure what moo would have answered in that moment, and as much as i love moo and think he's in the right, no one knows for sure how any solution would play out.

also, a psa: the real, core issue aside from fandom culture is not all of the people telling moo what to do. it's the company itself that encourages, endorses and fuels parasocial relationships by having their artists sell their bodies/souls to them for profit. it's bc these companies prioritize money that fans are emboldened to overstep boundaries. they're allowing fans to control the landscape bc that's where the money is. but actually, if they just changed their own culture and rules, yeah there'd still be delulus, but at least the artists could be with their people.

tl;dr-the boys fr ate down with that breakup scene so i can't even be mad at it lmaooo

saw someone on twt say the show seems childish..well, yes! they are children, teenagers, lol. i think they should have some grace and be allowed to be corny, silly, overdramatic, all the things. (ppl are very entitled to their preferences but it just makes me sad that some ppl really want to hammer in that they don't like the hs setting when i personally am eating it up bc i've never seen a full-length hs gl)

nothing is publicly confirmed yet (which is part of the problem), but i don't understand why gmm decided to do the thing that makes the least sense. like, if you don't want your gl and bl to have the same time slot, fine, but for the first one?? especially since it's not as if they have a completed bl that could replace last twilight right now...which is why they're (presumably) going to air a rerun...a show by the same director...like i love atots but if this is true, it makes no sense. and then to maybe air 23.5 on a weekday instead of the slot that should be free?? y'all i cannot..

don't wanna bring negativity to this page but i saw on twitter someone saying that milklove don't care abt the show or being the leads bc they don't promote or do fanservice (they were comparing it to what namtanfilm are doing and i absolutely love those girls so). and that frustrated me bc where is that coming from...like they literally opened the doors for gl in their company...like whether it's gl or bl, people should just be able to accept that some actors don't feel the need to do fanservice like that. or maybe milklove are being asked to be hush hush about stuff bc it's airing next year. also like they have been promoting the show. i just need the show to air to drown out the noise omg

Title Hidden Agenda Spoiler
i think my biggest problem with this show (aside from the acting and plot) is that there were no stakes. there weren't any overarching conflicts for the characters to learn and grow from. everything was just 'happening' to the characters...they weren't the driving force of their own narrative. and the conflicts that they tried to execute barely held any weight because they were introduced and resolved in the last few episodes.

why did they introduce zo's mom in ep 5 and not at least foreshadow his problems? it would've been very cool if they'd spent that ep showing us how great of a mom she is only to show is what their relationship is like under the surface. same for joke, like, he's a middle brother, right? cool. then show us how that's affected him and his self-esteem (and why he would've been too afraid to approach zo on his own). show us that from the beginning (or hint at it).

like i do nawt understand why joke's brothers are npcs!! give us that character conflict and development!! not just two very boring individuals in a boring relationship having boring kisses because there are no stakes. they could've used subversion so well i'm so urgh

and before anyone misconstrues my words, i love boring relationships. and not every show has to have drama. but there are ways to do those things effectively. this show knew none of them. and even then, you can't be a "fluffy, light show" and as some ppl say and have half of the finale ep be about a conflict made out to be dramatic yet holds no weight bc it gets resolved with two sentences in 2 min.

and if ppl want to know--i kept watching it because i so badly wanted it to do better. kinda. i was mostly just going through fomo.

also i just hope that people understand that being understanding of, and having explanations for a character's actions are not the same as excuses. phukao doesn't have to make the right decisions. he doesn't have to be good atm. he still has his reasons for doing what he does, they just don't have to be (or won't be) good reasons. and obviously kongkwan doesn't deserve any of it (as no one does, really). but all this can be true and possible at once. phukao can do what he does and be very wrong about it. like...i think that might be the point here. i just want to know what his turning point is and how he grows from there.

when the narration in the second half of ep 2 focuses on phukao, mai talks about steps we take to get away from the present day. when it focuses on kongkwan, he talks about steps we take to stay away from our past, and when it focuses on phlu, he talks about steps where we don't know which way to go (and at the end he talks about the most painful step). this imagery was so subtle i almost missed it wow. love the way his character tells you how the three of them feel.

I was hesitant to post this because it's not a very positive take, and it's probably an unpopular opinion, but I think I figured out why, for me personally, the fake-out kiss at the end of ep 6 is annoying. I want to preface this by saying that first, I like the show, and second, that I'm referring specifically to the "fake-out" part, not the actual kiss being imaginary.

Although I much prefer the fact that the kiss was in Akk's mind, I think that the shock value of making it seem like they actually kissed at the end was unnecessary. When I first watched that scene, I was suspicious of it because it didn't make the most sense in terms of the state of Akk and Ayan's relationship at the time. So to me, it makes more sense for it to be a figment of Akk's imagination (he's still hesitant, wants something but is probably still scared of having it--if he can). My problem isn't the kiss being in his mind, but that they tried to make it seem as if it actually happened...as the ending of the episode. I typically enjoy vague cliffhangers and bait-and-switch things, but this was just, again, not needed. Personally, I like to think we're past the point of "did-they-didn't-they" kisses/confessions as cliffhanger-y endings.

And, listen. I get it. Akk felt it so strongly that he badly wanted it to be real. I think that they could've kept that sentiment, and kept everything the same, but just show us that it's in his head right then and there. Basically if the beginning of 7 were at the end of 6. And ending it with that shot of Akk cuddling him would've still been the cute, comforting, warm moment that it is (or even more so, because then we'd have the knowledge that Akk wanted it, and is comforting him with these hidden feelings of want). But anyway, this isn't meant to be a serious post, and it's not a big deal. It's just something that irked me.

I have some thoughts about the ending (and the last two eps) that have stayed in my mind for some time (think months!!) and I just want to put them into words.

I agree with most people that the final ep is kind of gimmicky, and that patpran didn’t really need to go back to being a secret. But I feel like the lyrics of the second ost perfectly illustrate their mindset and perspective on their relationship as a unit. As a unit made up of the two of them alone. They don’t need others’ thoughts or opinions on their relationship to make it real and valid to them. They don’t need others (outsiders) to understand, or “get it,” because for patpran, as long as the two of them understand, it’s enough. Even as per the lyrics of the third ost, only patpran know what‘s in between the lines.
So when they decide to return to being a secret (which is more of an open secret, really), it’s bc they wanted to diminish the strain their relationship would have on their relationships with their parents (this is mostly for pran though). They didn’t want to put a strain on their own relationship, either, by trying to make their parents “understand.” And it’s not like them being together openly would heal the family wounds. In patpran’s eyes, going back to being a “secret” gives them more comfort and ease in being together.
The ball is in the parents’ court now, since they know the boys are still dating, and I feel like it’d just be up to them to decide if/when they want to make their acceptance known. I think there’s a strong message in patpran deciding not to yield, knowing their family tension might never actually change (rather than trying to force it to change by being together publicly). They (p’aof and co.) found quite a roundabout way of getting there, but they did.
Also, I’m almost entirely convinced that ep 11 was written to be a finale of sorts, which is why I was so confused about what would be in ep 12 back when the show was airing. Then ep 12 came out and I was like, “why did that feel like an epilogue/movie episode?” So yeah, they really took some risks and switched up the formula w this show; some of those risks landed and some didn’t. I will say, though, that final balcony scene in ep 12 makes me cry to this day just bc of how happy & in love they are & showing how far they’ve come (& that their relationship was kind of meant to be).

—sorry if anyone has said all this already, I haven’t been on this page in a long time

*rubs brain* You guys really don't undersand why that choice hurts Dr. Fah? Seriously?? okay
oh no i completely understand why, i just wish it wasn't a point of conflict because personally, i don't think it should be made to be this big problem in the first place. i get it being something that troubles fah, but what happens in the episode are things he barely has control over. rather than having him feel guilty for things he couldn't really control, have him feel guilty for actions that are deliberate (but not intended to hurt prince).

to me, they should have just continued the conversation he started with prince at the end of the last episode (the "i might not have time/be able to take care of you" car scene). i just think they could have continued this dialogue and conflict in a different, more organic way. that's all.
