7.9 doesn't objectively reflect the quality of first episode, it's far better than Cutie Pie that's for sure, hopefully the quality keeps up for the rest of the show

Watched the first ep without reading the synopsis and kept thinking why is Charan doing all that when he was supposed…
from my interpretation, the entire conversation was a code for getting Khanin back to emmaly. considering there are many traitors in the country, it's their way of communicating a command to be executed they probably talked about before without the mission being sabotaged. of course it didn't 100% work considering they still got attacked while Charan tried to bring Khanin back, but it was definitely able to buy them some time.
just finished the first episode and i loved it. pacing was great. the story building was well done. banters were well executed and not cringe (except for the english dialogues by the friends but we really shouldn't care much about it). can't wait for the next episode, i hope they keep this level of quality and entertaining factor up.
It really is sad to say that because it only had 8 episodes to work with, it will never live up to the masterpiece of the book it was based on. If only companies that could invest in longer shows had an eye for Zezeho's masterpieces. :(
it will forever be criminal that this masterpiece of a novel only got eight episodes for its series adaptation, same for reverse 4 you.
the book was hands off the best out of Reverse trilogy and it's such a shame they can't fully fulfill the feeling the book gave. this made me wish i didn't read the book first before watching the series because so far the episodes have been quite underwhelming compared to the book.
however, because i loved the book so much this show will definitely have a special place in my heart so i'm definitely gonna finish it regardless and not be too critical about it considering how short it is.
some people think pam is still sticking with nene's plan but i think she's doing all this to protect dokrak and be close to her so that nene won't straight up do something evil to her. i just hope they don't make pam stupid and not have enough of a moral compass to take revenge on dokrak when it's her father's fault pam is suffering and struggling.
Some comments are a bit much and are dragging the show because of the actresses (I realize everyone has the right to comment them so I'm not here to police) but in all honesty the downfall of the show is how stupid the characters were. For such a deep story arc, they were so naive and lacked cleverness. For a person who loves the police procedural genre, the characters, especially Tul, lacked the signature beloved badass and smart charm I was looking for. Because genuinely, how are you the highest ranked police officer on your team yet rely so much on the work of you teammates? Make it make sense.
Episode 3 is the best episode so far. EmiBonnie is doing so great with the subtlety of their love and affection considering Pam and Kawi's relationship lingering around the corner. As always the tension delivered and the chemistry just keeps getting better. I wonder how they're going to progress this story because right now everything seems super complicated and beyond repair. Hopefully they make do of all 12 episodes to make Pam and Rak's relationship logical and memorable.
With you on this boat. If only Zezeho's books were picked up with companies who can produce more than 8 episodes…
Reverse With Me is the next book of hers to be adapted. First episode comes out February 5th. It still has 8 episodes but I think with its plot, 8 episodes is fine as long as they execute it well. Glad to know I'm not the only one gushing over this show's writing.
