Because he's Black/444's partner, they were supposed to collect Haram together -- Haram cannot see her own death…
in the writer's original script it was revealed that there was a huge black tattoo on Leo's chest that made the shadow invisible to Ha Ram's eyes (but the scene was omitted to fit the time in). so the reason why wasn't that he was 444's partner.
forget the makeup, how about obliterating entire drama worth of unearthing corruption and misery that magically…
exactly. i don't know how much of the original script the director changed other than adding the last few scenes so i'm not really sure if he is to blame for the entire ending of the drama. but there are indeed a huge amount of plot holes in the current one. personally i would like to think that the drama ended with black's decision and we weren't shown life without him at all. if so i would assume that black would only be erased from people's memories, but the happenings would remain the same. i could let go of the remaining plot holes if that was the case. (like how ha ram couldn't see the shadow inside leo, how in the hell there could be a cctv next to a cliff in the middle of nowhere, and a BIG plothole for me personally- sorry i really cant let this one go- why the hell it was SSH who acted in the god's trial(?) scenes. that body belonged Moo Gang not Joon . it should have been Kim Tae Woo, the original 444. don't tell me even god couldn't get him out of Moo Gang's body because i won't buy it. rip the freaking heart out of the body then d*mmit.) to be fair the director also did not mention the corruption at all at his version of the ending so we can assume the mall incident and the teenage prostitution indeed did happen in the new timeline, with other children if not with so young. and whether it would be solved or not is a mystery. (again why the hell did i watch this show if in the alternative reality the whole thing happened but was never solved because it was moo gang searching for his brother's death that started the whole investigation in depth. but let's imagine in this alternative timeline Byeong Tae, Ha Ram's father the original and Na Gwang Gyun would join forces against the baddies ). if we think it through it's not just the last 5 minutes but the whole 18th episode that rises many other question marks. so many small plot holes all over and all together they form an unsatisfying ending. i can only wish choi ran would, sometime in the future, publish her own version of the ending and explanations. still, i really love this scriptwriter and would watch her future dramas.
apparently the director went ahead and added the last 5+ minutes on the show himself (starting with elder haram and leo i think). the original script was a sad ending, black chose not existing and -- the end. but the director wanted to switch the bad ending to an happy one and changed the ending against the writer's wishes. to me the script was 9.5/10 until they ruined it with the hilarious makeup and ridiculous reunion. so this explained a lot. the director kind of apologized for ruining the drama's ending with the low quality make up and out of nowhere happy ending.
Seriously best idol starring drama ever! I thought there were very few good idol turned into actor out there. But this drama somehow gathered them altogether.
I don't really think that eunjung is in this. Her representative apparently told that they never even received the offer. And soompi does not have her name on the thread. I guess as their names look alike people confused her with hwang Jung eum
