Omg, no, I totally get what you’re saying!Maybe I need to look at their relationship more from that angle — like, Jack’s in some kind of denial while Joke already knows how he feels but holds back because of fear of rejection. And yeah, there are those little looks and moments...

Buuuut... idk, I still don’t feel like there’s enough for me to really root for them as a couple? Like, I want to care, but it feels like their connection isn’t strong enough to make me feel invested.

And honestly, if this wasn’t described as a BL, I probably wouldn’t even see those little glances or group moments as romantic at all — they just come across like friends (to me). Which is wild, cause this is a BL! Meanwhile, in High School Frenemy (idk if you’re watching it), I FULLY see romantic tension, and they’re supposed to be "just friends" there! 😭

With Jack and Joke, I’m still kinda like… wait, what’s actually making them like each other?
Hope it doesn’t sound bad, but the romance still feels kinda like it’s there just because the plot says so, you know? 😅

But I've seen other Yin War bls and I know they can portray feelings and emotions so maybe I'm just being picky and I'm not as into the drama as I should be...

Idk why, but the humor is totally landing for me, something the 'We Are' the series couldn’t pull off 😭😂 I’m finding it hilarious. If they keep this up for all 24 episodes, I’ll be laughing till I’m 98—aka when this finally ends.

I really like this. Seriously, the production is on point. It’s super enjoyable, and I care a lot about the characters.

BUT I'M SORRY… let's talk romance. I know this show isn’t meant to be romance-centered, so I didn’t expect full-on fluff or anything. But with that 8.9 rating, I thought I’d get a little more spark between Yin and War’s characters...Like, they’re both amazing actors and I know they can have great chemistry.... but whenever we get those “romantic” scenes in this series, it feels like a sudden switch. When they're alone they get super angsty and super in love but in the next scene (usually with other characters), they act like bros with zero romantic tension. Is it just me? Even the kiss scene/context felt a little bit random....

And don't get me wrong, I’d totally watch Jack and Joker even without any romance because it’s genuinely good! But I was expecting something else. Like, for me, Weak Hero Class 1 (and that's not even a BL!) managed to have WAY more romantic undertones. The tension in that show is just wild. Even My School Frenemy feels more romantic than this...the stares, the lines, the way the actors interact...it feels very romantic (TO ME).
With Jack and Joker, it’s like the romance is totally separate from the rest of the story. They’ll have a random romantic scene, and then the next minute it’s gone, like it never happened???
I almost feel like the show would be better with no romance.

So, yeah, I’m still here for it, and please don't take this the wrong way. I just need some feedback from other people bc this can totally be a ME problem.

If you think about how War and Yin (and a few others) not only starred in it but also pitched and produced it, you'll probably appreciate it more. The acting, script, and shots are pretty solid. Sure, the plot has some holes and might not be super believable, but it's still a fun watch. I feel like their chemistry will get better as the episodes go on. We're only at ep 5/12, so I’m guessing they’re holding back on the romance on purpose.
