it was not much that touched me.

I did not get any feelings at al, while l watching this series, there was no chemistry between the actors Yoon Shi Yoon and Ahn Hee Yeon, I have to admit, i did not like her.. I was thining that it was good that it was only 8 episodes. The dialogue was bad and unethical. What therapy would try to sleep with his client ...

Yoon Shi Yoon certainly played very well, I must say. He is good. Kim Seol Jin was fantastic as a friend.> Is this is best performace ever?

But the story did not last, became uninteresting and something was missing. It did not feel noting. It felt wrong that he would end up with his old flame. No. I hope that Yoon Shi Yoon will soon be able to play in a romantic comedy where chemistry exists and the big story lasts.

The Potato Lab - A Confused Blend Lacking Depth

What can you say about a drama that doesn't quite know whether it wants to be a romantic comedy or a heartbreaking love story? The Potato Lab tries to be both – but doesn’t really succeed at being either.

The series revolves around a woman working at a company specializing in potato research. Suddenly, the company is acquired by a larger corporation, and a man is sent in to streamline operations. Naturally, sparks begin to fly between him and the main character, following the classic love-hate trope. But the drama intensifies when it turns out the new parent company is run by her ex – a "jerk" who ended their relationship in a really ugly way. Of course, their paths cross again. He still has feelings for her, but she has moved on.

This is where the show starts to lose me. I never really felt anything strong for the main character. There’s a lack of depth, not just in her, but in most of the cast. Maybe one or two colleagues in the department had some potential, but none of them truly stood out.

Maybe I’m alone in this, but for me, her first love – the ex – was the most interesting character. Even though he acted selfishly, I still sympathized with him the most. Perhaps because life is just like that sometimes – we make mistakes, take the wrong turns, and it’s not always easy to undo those moments. He wanted love, a new beginning, a future – but he chose the wrong path.

The script is written by Kim Ho Soo, who also created Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung – a series I truly enjoyed. That show managed to balance romance, humor, and historical drama with clarity, development, and emotional depth. Unfortunately, that’s not the case here. In this drama, we get loud arguments, shallow conflicts, and a string of side plots that don’t really go anywhere. You don’t know who to focus on, and the story feels scattered.

It seems like they tried to create a narrative with strong female leads, but it ended up being silly and confusing. I didn’t have high expectations going in, but I still hoped for a stronger love story with a clearer direction. Instead, we get several parallel storylines – both involving the main character and supporting roles – that never really take hold.

The settings are beautiful, and it’s refreshing to see a show take place in the countryside rather than a big city. There's an attempt at realism in the everyday surroundings and clothing – but sadly, that’s not enough. When the dialogue falls flat and the characters feel shallow, it doesn’t help how stylish or quirky they try to be.

Potato Research Center had potential, but ends up falling flat. It's neither funny enough to be a comedy nor deep enough to be a love story. For me, it was mostly confusing – and honestly, quite frustrating.

A story to watch

This is a remake but I still think they made a good remake. It is a good one. They have removed some of the story of the original and added some changes which made the story better.

The Korean version was first and they make you just love them and the characters they created. There the sparks fly between.
In the Chinese version, it's a little more difficult . They are good but it i something about the korean actors that tha chines didit have. BUt i realy lika the chines actors
I dosent matter because they keep a tone in the whole story that you need. They could have delved into certain relationships such as the brothers' love for the doctor that we could have gotten more of. I think it's nice that we don't have to deal with the coach's story. It was not needed in the Korean one and not here either and in the Chinese one they have chosen to remove it.

It stays fairly true to the original and has succeeded to that this to a new level. The main characters are cute and I think you should see both versions but maybe not close to each other. Then you just want to flush the episodes.

This is a very cute story, lovely acting and good production. It's nice music. I think there's enough intrigue and you need a story that doesn't end in complete disaster. And in this you get that. I think they did the endvery well.

Review: Desperate Mrs. Seonju – A Drama That Tried Too Hard

Desperate Mrs. Seonju is a daily drama series consisting of a whopping 126 episodes. It starts with a promising premise: the fates of three families become intertwined through infidelity, divorce, and manipulation. Unfortunately, the series quickly loses its footing and becomes an example of how too much drama can be too much of a good thing.
We follow Pi Seon Ju, a dedicated interior designer whose marriage falls apart when her husband falls for an other women. At the same time, hers marriage is ending with her husband . Seon Ju to find solace in her life crises but what begins as a compelling relationship drama quickly devolves into an overloaded soap opera, where each episode seems determined to outdo the last in terms of drama. Infidelity, betrayal, manipulation, revenge, family conflicts – everything is thrown in, often without sufficient depth. The result is a messy and at times farcical story, where it’s hard to feel anything for the characters, despite the actors doing their best.

I think the script is written by someone I usually like, though I’ve forgotten the name. When I started watching, I looked up her previous work and saw that she had been behind several well-regarded series, which makes it hard to understand how this production turned out so scattered. It almost feels like someone else took over the pen halfway through – or as if the series is trying to mimic an American daytime soap rather than a high-quality Korean drama.

A major part of the problem lies in the series’ length. With 126 episodes, a much more focused narrative structure was needed. Several side stories could have been cut entirely, and with fewer episodes, the drama could have been more concentrated and engaging.

In summary: Desperate Mrs. Seonju had the potential to be a strong relationship drama but drowns in its own ambition. For those who enjoy soap opera–like series full of intrigue, there may be some entertainment value, but for most viewers, it’s likely to be a frustrating experience. The sheer number of episodes and the constant twists and bizarre plotlines drag the rating down. It’s ultimately not worth watching.

It doesn't make me feel anything.

I don't want another drama where they end up with him making beer with her and they live happy for the rest of their days after a lots of misunderstandings etc. I need a happy ending but... It is too mutch simple stuff produced these days. It feels like they all have the same style these days. I don't think the story holds up. I need someone more that gets me hooked right away. This story is about a female and male protagonist who has a complicated history around work and family... She and others must persuade him to make beer for them. She is handsome and happy but sad inside. He senses people's feelings and is angry with his father. You understand. You have heard the story before, but in different versions.

Turn and twist

It takes almost 7 episodes for it to start äand get intresting. They took a long a way to getos the story ng "get to know" the characters, but it's a 50-part series, so there will be a lot of twists and turns. But it's going to be interesting and this one is better than the previous 50 part series which was called something like the three bold siblings. But I imagine this series will have a lot of sides storys, particular in 50 part series not everythingwho ends happily ever after. I'm looking forward to following it but i would have liked to see more episodes a week as the series makes you want you to see more. I look forward to every Saturday/Sunday.
