The drama does get better and the female lead become more mature. She's only silly on certain part, but when you watch as she grow, you can see how understanding she is.
Being honest, this drama give a lot of mix feelings and I recommend you finish it based on your own judgement.

Uh, i can tell you that Ren Jialun and Tan Songyun was actually pretty underrated, therefore the rating was pretty much based on the contents. Plus, a lot of people didn't even know who Jialun before this drama.

If you had tried to push through this a bit further, the whole story basically revolved around strong women, and you'll see how strong the FL is.

At some point it was the director fault for making Jinxia weak, because actually in the book she is very smart, so I'll understand if some points throws you off, but not sure why the director decided to do that either.

I also felt her conclusion was a little rush, like a few words from Ling Dad and a Weibo post can change her mind is quite ridiculous to what she've done so far, but at least she'll be in Singapore

If you push through with the drama, it's technically not a triangle, because Zi Qiu was cool with their relationship after like two days.

On another side: Zi Qiu just wan to be physically be included in the family and 'repay' HaiChao and JianJian for always being there for him, that could be the reason why he wants to marry her, but they never shown any interests for each other.

I doubt they can make a season since everything was wrapped up beautifully,
