can anyone explain whose family is it that calls San as grandfather? it’s can’t be San’s real family. what did I miss? also, is Tao a part of their family?

There was not much of romantic theme in the series, so they could not possibly be in a 3 way relationship. I guess the ending signify all three of them getting over their differences and learning to stay besides each other.
