He was her safe haven......
A drama that I cannot ever move on from . I love how wen yifan's heartbreaking yet beautiful love story was depicted. All I could say is that he was her safe haven .The cast were perfect in their roles , i don't think that anyone could play sangyan and wenyifan better than BJT and ZRN . They practically lived in their roles. I really liked the pacing of the drama . From the first 10 or 12 eps there's nothing much happening if u go back and think about it but it never felt boring , it was like I was watching their life go on standing on the side.
In most of the rare happy moments that wenyifan had in her life sangyan was there or were influenced by him in some way . And everything that sangyan had done has traces of wenyifan in them. If you think back she really had no one and by that i mean NO ONE in her life to take care or support her. Only he was the one beside her and truly cared about her . I loved her courage to chase sangyan , she wasn't embarrassed about it and just straight up admitted that she was the one pursuing sangyan. She comes off as a soft and weak girl but she is the strongest and most courageous girl ever . People in her situation would straight up take their lives, to keep on living is the most bravest thing that she could do in her position and I RESPECT her for that . I really liked the decision that she took about her mom , for a second i thought she was about to forgive her mom which i didn't like . But I'm glad that she didn't and she cut off all the connections with her. Realising their mistakes and coming back to take care of their child doesn't wipe off all their mistakes that they did in the past just because they gave life to you. If i were in her place i would do the exact same thing , the mom is non forgivable . The amount of times that she called and asked her mom to take her away with her , the way she was crying and begging , my heart broke . No matter how much the mom begged her , the ignorance that she showed to yifan is non negotiable.
The moment that broke me the most was when she was harassed but the asshole uncle and aunt was gaslighting by saying he was drunk and entered the wrong room and her mom couldn't even take the time to stay with her daughter after literally being 🍇ed and went off just like that . The look in her eyes .............. i just couldn't anymore.
And if we have to talk about sangyan 😭😭😭 that guy is the GREENEST flag ever . I couldn't understand why people were saying that he was the greenest flag ever but after watching the series i do. He is the non existent type of greeflagyness. I wonder would a man truly ever love like sangyan loved wenyifan . I loved the moments that he teased her and they didn't skip out on the steamy scenes ( which I'm glad for ) .
The side characters were cute to watch too . Loved edward chen to see working again with the same director for your name engraved herein ( a movie which broke me apart , but that's for a another day ) . The Ost's were a cherry on the top. I loved the cinematography of the drama , a lot of reflective angles were taken which made the screen dreamy to look at . I could definitely sense some taiwanese directing for this drama , which I loved.
An absolute 10/10 for me <3.

A beautiful summer drama
Such beautiful summer drama which has its own spark . Such a beautiful summer drama . I loved all the aspects of the drama but there were some drawbacks too .Story :
I loved the story completely until like ep 10 i think. After ep 10 they introduced some other side characters that took too much of the screen time tbh and I would be more than glad if they took some screen time of them .
Elvis × Joe : Damn this couple pairing is top notch . One of the best visually complementing couples in cdrama world imo . They were the hottest couple of the drama and they were the couple that I was most invested in the whole time . Elvis, a racer , casual guy , not in his prime time but not that serious , fell in love with Joe at first site . Joe , a carefree curator, living her life but wanting to break her own boundaries. A very mature love story with mature characters who complement each other very well.
Mai × Le : a very casual couple tryna live their lives . Mai , a corporate worker , who focuses more on her job than anything else . Le , a carefree guy who quit his job and helps his parents run the restaurant. The opposites meet and fall in love . I loved this couple too and wish they had more screen time . They were robbed . They deserve more screen time than the side characters that they introduced from ep 10. A nice realistic approach of their relationship too . I was satisfied with their ending too.
Casey × frank : This was a fresh approach to the story . I loved how their story progressed . While she was with Frank she saw herself in him and she was healing her own inner child by spending time with Frank. The friend/ mother and friend/ son relationship was really heat warming to see.
I liked le's brother and his girlfriend's relationship. What I didn't like was the gfs parents part. They could've removed a whole lot of that and made some screen time for le and mai . The proff was really annoying and skippable .
Acting / casting :
the casting couldn't get any better , everyone were beautiful and upto their characters point . i personally love Elvis han and sunny sun . they suited their characters so well.
music:
music was a plus point to this drama . each scene had a music which was suitable with the scene and environment. the ost's are definitely going on my Spotify list
And last but not least the scenery. A beautiful scenery does not mean a green glass field or a sunflower field and mountains. A busy city with light can be a beautiful scenery too. The scenery matches so well with the music at the back which made the drama more likeable.
overall it was a nice short drama to watch on a free day . Enjoyed it.

Ashes never rekindle but Embers can ......
Woahhhh......That was a hell of a ride . An amazing thriller drama . It's been such a long time since I've watched such a good thriller drama. The characters were perfect for their roles. Everyone of them executed their roles perfectly. Im a fan of WZQ and I've recently seen sunny sun in begin again and I've had my eye on him since then. I don't know why I haven't seen him before. Amazing actor .Even though ZB did use many victims to his own personal gain , i get why he did that. Imagine getting killed and your identity wiped out in just a day but you're still alive and have nowhere to go and on top of that even your family is dead . He only had his friends to trust and rely on , that part of the story just broke me off. The six friends who were at their happiest times of their life and in an instant it was ruined. I think he is a gear example of " sometimes in the pursuit of the truth , you yourself become a monster " . I was devastated when he was dead again . I just couldn't stop crying for the last 4 eps . Don't mind me I'm just gonna be obsessing over him for a quite a bit of time from now on.
The part where it broke me the most was when SY was carrying ZB on a motorcycle to place him in the gift box . I just couldn't attend that point , it was soo painful to watch . And Wang Ziqi's acting really stood out at that point .
Overall an amazing drama that would top my list of 2025 .
