i appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the show, even though we have different opinions. While I agree some parts might seem like things we've seen before, I think there's more to the story than just the usual plot points. You mentioned how the show makes it seem like the husband's abuse is okay because of the romance. But I think the show might be trying to show how people deal with difficult things like trauma, forgiveness, and finding healing. The husband's bad behavior could be because of his own past hurts, and the romance might show how he can change and find himself again. You also talked about the "rich boss, innocent wife" idea that's used a lot in stories. Even though it's common, it doesn't mean the story is bad. The show might be using this idea in a new and interesting way to surprise us with how the characters are. I agree that the suspenseful parts could have been done better. But I think the show's real strength is how it explores the characters' minds and feelings, rather than just relying on scary moments and plot twists. In the end, whether someone likes the show is up to them. But I think it's important to look deeper and consider the possible meanings behind the story before just calling it predictable.
Starting with a fake relationship can make it harder to care about the characters, but it’s good that the acting, especially the villain, made it interesting. I agree about the unnecessary scenes better storytelling would’ve helped. If the ending is good, a 7 feels like a fair score for something with so many ups and downs. so yeah everyone has opinions
I understand your points, but I had a different take on the drama. I think the shift to marriage counseling added more depth to the characters and gave the story a chance to focus on their emotional struggles. It might not have been what people expected, but it showed the complexity of their relationship. The FL using the kidnapper’s phone, even though she was mute, showed how clever and brave she could be in a tough situation. It also added tension to the story because of how she hid it from the ML.
I agree that the ML really stood out and was the heart of the drama. His lighter, funnier role made the serious parts easier to watch and brought balance to the show. As for Ji Sang U’s storyline, I agree it felt a little random at first, but by the end, it made sense because it tied into the theme of resolving past issues and healing.
The music might not have been super memorable, but the drama’s emotional themes and unique way of telling the story really stood out to me. Even with a few pacing issues, I thought the character growth and how they dealt with their problems were powerful. I would probably rate it around an 8.5 because it had a lot of strong moments, even if it wasn’t perfect.
Sweet heavens. This show gets better and better. Ep. 10 was a chef's kiss on many fronts. Many answers provided.…
I totally get what you’re saying! I just finished When the Phone Rings, episode 10 was such a ride. It really tied up so many things, but there are still questions that have me thinking non-stop. Park Do Jae’s redemption arc is so interesting I kept wondering if he’s going to fully make up for everything he’s done. I just hope they don’t stretch out the story too much with unnecessary drama or overused tropes like other shows. The storytelling has been so good so far, and I really don’t want it to lose that spark. I can’t believe how much I’m still thinking about this show even after finishing it
I'm not sure if it's disrespectful or not but it's not very uncommon . I have seen many western and asian drama/movies…
Honestly, I just take the time to think about my answers and make sure they're clear and to the point. I guess that might make it sound a bit more structured, but it’s just how I explain things.
