VLC is a media player; though I'm not sure why it didn't play the file for you. You shouldn't need to sync anything, either, as long as the sub file you downloaded is paired with the correct raw.
In the first post Monchi provides links on where to DL the episode. I provided the one on Nyaa and there's one other on LJ --- grab either one, DL the subs, and watch with whatever media player you have.
I'm not the biggest fan of She Was Pretty. Too much filler that I'd rather have not wasted my time on, basically, but Pretty Li Hui Zhen is 40 episodes? Lol, nevermind that one.
I've seen TBC sooo many times that I just can't watch it anymore, but if there was ever a Korean remake like this I'd be down. you picked a great lineup!
I was able to grab a hold of the 2012 GTO, but I'll have to make sure to watch the 1998 version. when it comes to remakes vs originals, performances should be unique to the actors, but I know they can make or kill a character, too. I'd like to see their different takes.
recently finished gomen, aishiteru as well, but haven't seen the kdrama. as I thought might be the case, the kdrama sounds more emotionally exhaustive. I'll definitely be putting a long break period between the two dramas, 'cause I need to keep those tragedies few and far between!
this new version of MDL is slick and shiny, and I love it. I'm happy that we can now add writers and directors, especially since I like to keep track of their works --- it's often how I decide whether or not to check something out if I think the synopsis sounds lame.
Reply 1988 was very good ending. It was wrapped so well and answered everything...at least for me. So i'm…
I think so, too @Dana1004!
I know people were disappointed about a couple (admittedly big) things, but I still think it wrapped up well. it's my favorite out of the reply dramas ♥
you must watch age of youth! the main dish is all about them and the relationships they share with each other. I love that drama to bits. otherwise, I haven't noticed much emphasis placed on female friendships in kdrama. maybe I'm watching the wrong ones.
mainly thinking about romcoms, here, but when I see a female lead with a best girlfriend I also take note that said friend often does not take as much prominence as it would IRL ---- and, most times, it feels like that happens because focus is placed on a f/m romance, so attention shifts away from the f/f friendship(s). and that's in some cases where there actually is a female best friend, because I can name plenty where there's no mention of one. in which case, it seems scripted as such for any number of reasons that ultimately still serve/relate to the romantic plot. ...just a quick drop of my two cents.
I haven't seen the first two seasons, but everyone's excitement is rubbing off on me. I didn't realize the release date was this close, so I guess I know what I'll be marathoning this weekend. I hope I like it as much as everyone else.
I haven't tried two on this list. I should watch them, but I feel like my summer will mostly involve catching up on all of the fall 2016 through spring 2017 dramas that I missed, plus --- god willing --- those that are currently airing.
school 2017!! I've been waiting for a long, long time. I can't wait! I just hope I'm not expecting too much & end up disappointed. I'll be there for bride of the water god and criminal minds, too.

If you don't know how to watch with softsubs, here's a post that explains: http://www.d-addicts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=59952
It's up to episode 6 right now.
