First drama I have seen her in. Tbh I would not want to see her in any others... she seems very monotonous, dry and boring. LMAO. But I'm hearing she likes collaborating with Namkoong min and i'm interested in watching more of his dramas now so god help me.

Yayyy glad we are on the same page bestie! For me I have avoidant attachment so it was easy for me to reason with the FL. Also I don't mind messy characters, I find them entertaining. Nam soon was different story tho... she messed with my man Shi Oh too much!
If you watch western shows you'd know... Su Yeong is pretty tame in comparison to a lot of those female leads 😭 Like have you ever see the vampire diaries, gossip girl, never have i ever, new girl or russian doll? Those are a diff breed entirely 🫣😂 Idk I liked that this drama was quite different from a lot of the other ones I had watched.

I am the odd one out in this case bc I liked this drama a lot. For me the melancholy / gloomy vibe was comforting, along with the OST (I still listen to it sometimes) It was memorable in a way and I think of the couple from time to time.

😭😭 Unfortunately fr. But I successfully watched 8 episodes without spoiler. But it’s fine I’m all caught up now. I’m trying to overlook it but I nearly dropped it today. It’s even worse when you realize there are 2 episodes left so not much to look forward to.
Fair warning, you can even be spoiled even if you use spoiler tags yourself and are currently watching / live reacting as you watch and haven’t caught up to the current episodes. Some people want to explain the entire drama to you even though YOU DID NOT ASK A QUESTION. Make it make sense.

I don’t like how you call it a dirty fantasy. Just because it’s not to your taste or liking doesn’t make it dirty. Even if Shi Oh was played by another actor it is a fact people would still like him or be attracted to him in some way. I’ve seen it happen in countless dramas. People are ranting about him because they believe he deserved a redemption arc. Did you or did you not read the comments lol? His death was totally horrible and the worst way for someone to go out (suicide). Also him dying served absolutely no purpose since Gum Ju and her organization never got any justice and they didn’t capture the real bad guy ie. Bread Song / Nozh. His death wasn’t even like other stories where it serves as a catalyst and causes other characters to have some kind of character growth / change. Everything about the last 2 episodes were meaningless and did not add much to the plot.
Also you’re wrong for that generalization bc even if Shi Oh didn’t die I and many other comments would’ve still written an honest review bc the drama is in fact very mid as you said. It was a waste of time watching bc of all the missed opportunities. The storyline made no sense and I arguably stayed for the villain bc he was the most captivating and held my interest but again, that would not have been enough for me to lie and give this drama more than a 3/10... maybe even lower. So no it’s not only about him —it’s about how trashy the overall production is.

LOL it's clear they have never heard of the enemies to lovers trope and the bad guy becoming good for the girl he's in love with. Shi Oh had the best writing and build up with Nam Soon but the writers threw it all away. I feel like they were too scared to explore an enemies to lovers storyline and so they had to keep it the traditional /cookie cutter villain dies and good guy gets the girl plot. Ppl will blame and hate on us for rooting for the villain or just wanting to see something different in kdrama land for once. For me personally recycled plots are boring. I welcome change and this drama just did not make any sense or live up to the hype at all.

Some ppl are into older men too so you rlly gotta define middle aged / old 😭 A lot of these "older" actors look young despite their age. Also a person who's ugly to you might be attractive to someone else.
