Well I already figured out / suspected the back story between Jang Hyun, Lee Dan and Sam Do. Basically Jang Chul could not stand the fact that his daughter was in love with a slave and so he beat Sam Do to death for “raping his mistress” (Lee Dan) even though he knew the truth. Then he sent Lee Dan to cross the icy river to run an errand meaning he cast her out and sent her to die. Jang Chul claimed he did that for Jang Hyun’s sake but he knew the truth. His sister could not endure her shame and go on living by defying / standing against him so she basically killed herself. Jang Hyun resented and hated his father for everything that transpired and so he sought to take away the one thing he considered precious (himself) So he made sure his father thought he went missing or died in the fire set by the robbers… never to appear in his presence until this very moment
So many shocking revelations in this episode… Sam Do turned out to be of noble birth and when Jang Chul found out his true identity he killed him because he did not believe he would be able to live as if he were dead andnot go seeking revenge even though he told him he would because of how much he loved his daughter. This seemed like a conclusion, so I didn't want to watch the promo for the upcoming episode. However, the last episode seems like it will be full of suffering, death, and agony. I'm not ready for the death of so many of our faves. Oh my, I really want Jang Hyun to survive, but at what cost? How will he manage to go on without constantly blaming himself for everything? I simply don't see a happy ending for this. When Ryang Eum says, "Let me tell you about Jang Hyun," it seems more like he's the one who's in the prison telling the story. However, if Yeon Jun manages to hear Eum Ae's cries / pleas and sees fit to free Jang Hyun, then perhaps he will end up in prison for being a traitor to the crown. Right now it's hard for me to see him having a redemption arc / change of heart or even bending his dead set morals for anyone let alone Jang Hyun. Idk tho I am uncertain about everything. I am hoping for the best but at the same time I am preparing for the worst.

Well I already figured out / suspected the back story between Jang Hyun, Lee Dan and Sam Do. Basically Jang Chul could not stand the fact that his daughter was in love with a slave and so he beat Sam Do to death for “raping his mistress” (Lee Dan) even though he knew the truth. Then he sent Lee Dan to cross the icy river to run an errand meaning he cast her out and sent her to die. Jang Chul claimed he did that for Jang Hyun’s sake but he knew the truth. His sister could not endure her shame and go on living by defying / standing against him so she basically killed herself. Jang Hyun resented and hated his father for everything that transpired and so he sought to take away the one thing he considered precious (himself) So he made sure his father thought he went missing or died in the fire set by the robbers… never to appear in his presence until this very moment
So many shocking revelations in this episode… Sam Do turned out to be of noble birth and when Jang Chul found out his true identity he killed him because he did not believe he would be able to live as if he were dead andnot go seeking revenge even though he told him he would because of how much he loved his daughter. Jang Chul, Yeon Jun, Officer Won Moo and that senile king are all cut from the same cloth!!! *PRETENDS TO BE SHOCKED* I’M HONESTLY TIRED OF ALL OF THEM THEY ALL NEED TO DIE.

I loved how her journey back to Jang Hyun paralleled the scene in the first episode where she dreamed and she had to cross all the terrains and different seasons just to meet her husband on that beach. AHHHH THIS IS ARTISTRY!
I can’t stop crying… the way he hung her ribbon like it was a shrine and theway she burst into tears seeing that he kept it like that all this time… my hearttttt. I am sad he does not remember but they are still so freaking cute. I remember that episode where Gil Chae said she wished they could stay like that forever because at least she would just have him by her side without all the unwanted memories. AHHHH

This seemed like a conclusion, so I didn't want to watch the promo for the upcoming episode. However, the last episode seems like it will be full of suffering, death, and agony. I'm not ready for the death of so many of our faves. Oh my, I really want Jang Hyun to survive, but at what cost? How will he manage to go on without constantly blaming himself for everything? I simply don't see a happy ending for this. When Ryang Eum says, "Let me tell you about Jang Hyun," it seems more like he's the one who's in the prison telling the story. However, if Yeon Jun manages to hear Eum Ae's cries / pleas and sees fit to free Jang Hyun, then perhaps he will end up in prison for being a traitor to the crown. Right now it's hard for me to see him having a redemption arc / change of heart or even bending his dead set morals for anyone let alone Jang Hyun. Idk tho I am uncertain about everything. I am hoping for the best but at the same time I am preparing for the worst.

I hope you left out a digit and actually were talking about a 13 year old... but even still the nature / content of this drama is not suitable for someone that age. This drama is about mental illness and the setting is a psych ward. If anything it could very well trigger her and start to put doubtful and unnecessary thoughts in her head. There are so many other dramas / shows suited to a 13 year old. Find those instead.
Suggestions: Reply Series, Extraordinary You, True Beauty, Twenty-Five Twenty-One,The Heirs, Boys Over Flowers, Brilliant Legacy, The School Series – especially School 2015, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Strong Girl Do Bong Soon, I Am Not A Robot, Sassy Go Go, A Love So Beautiful, Dream High, Heartstrings, You're Beautiful, Love Rain, Pinocchio, While You Were Sleeping etc. I suggest you stick to the high school related dramas. If not theres a plethora of movies / tv shows and cartoons on Netflix, Nickelodeon or Disney (especially the older shows) that she can enjoy.
In my opinion I think Daily Dose of Sunshine is a hit or miss. It really depends on your taste … personally I wasn’t gonna stick around watching a drama that portrayed the stigma surrounding mental illness (especially w/ my experience) plus it just gave off very depressing / melancholy vibes. I wanted to watch a show that made me happy so that’s why I dropped it 🥲
Anyway, to each their own, I won't say if it's bad or good because I didn't finish it and I don't intend to.
