By watching this drama i think it was very influenced by the movie "Shelter", in case you never seen the movie…
I've watched every lgbtq movie possible and yes I've seen it lol.. I usually go on the gay tab on imdb to find good shows but yes the plot is similar but I don't see the similarities with the acting or vibe though
