this show is literally making NO NOISE... its so lackluster

enough time has passed that I can admit I'll rewatch Fish Upon the Sky before I rewatch this.

I understand people wanting a happy ending but honestly even if there isn't I won't hate the show because of it.. not every lgbtq story ends in happiness and that's the reality of it.. brokeback mountain didn't end happy.. call me by your name didn't end happy but they won numerous awards and became masterpieces. I think once it fits the plot and makes sense. I don't need a couple to end up together.. because sometimes that's more real than them sailing happily into the sunset.

let me get this straight ? you think Thai BL's portray more realistic relationships than Korean BL's do ? interesting point to say the least. I would actually say the opposite and that's the beauty of opinions... I think Thai BL's are a lot of fluff and a lot of the plots are not applicable to the real world while KBL and JBL's feel like they touch on more realistic scenarios.

not sure but this happens to all korean BL's so there has to be a reason for it. Blueming has a 8.1 / To My Star has a 8.1 as well.. and I do agree that MSP and Moonlight Chicken deserve high ratings over 8.0 but I do think thai BL fans are more rabid than KBL fans the fan service industry in both countries are miles apart so the dedicated fanbase would clearly have more power to push the thai shows ahead of MDL

viki ratings are ridiculously high because most of the people on there are general consumers and not rabid fans... so I think they more rate series between a 8 to 10... most low rated series would have a 8 rating and the good ones will have 9.5 and over. I've never seen one with a 9.9 though.. but yes... MDL ratings are very important for fan clubs especially those with active ships and big fanbases like fourthgemini and earthmix.. there fans have discords and private telegram groups where they spam vote and do a lot of stuff... it's part of the gmmtv mold so it's not surprising.

This having a 9.9 rating on VIKI but a 8.1 on here says all we need to know about the toxic thai fans who like to downvote korean BL's to give ''thailand '' on top... our dating sim has a 8.1. shoulder to cry on has a 7.8 but my school president has a 8.6 and moonlight chicken has a 8.4 lol

I do think thai BL FANS spam dislike to keep korean shows low... but thank God MDL isn't respected for ratings.. because how could moonlight chicken has a 8.4 but this have a 8.1 ? my school president has a 8.6. it makes no sense. it has a 9.9 rating on viki though.. don't think I ever saw a BL that high on viki

I would say the major part of why this is shining so much is because there is European input rather than a solely korean director. There are heavy european elements in this show that pulls references from shows like Skam and Skins. the intricacies of European filmmaking is quite evident in this show.

for WORRIED FANS : there was indeed a movie released only in Korea but those who watched the movie has confirmed there is a happy ending.... the only way the drama could not be a happy ending is if they filmed alternate ending scenes after the movie.. which doesn't make much sense.. but we shall see I guess. those who watched the movie already confirmed he almost drowned and went to the ICU and recovered in the end and they ended up together after. his trauma was from his brother who I think died from drowning and he reminds him a lot of his brother. not sure how u can switch that to a sad ending unless u end the show with the drowning and never show him recovering lol

the latter half of episode 3 was STELLAR.. exceptional... barely any dialogue.. just longing stares that truly needed no words and we understood everything that was happening.

how are these actors ACTING without even speaking...they don't even need dialogue and it's so powerful between them.

the acting.. the cinematography. the subtle looks and glances that says it all without even having to speak.. I've not been captivated like this in such a long time.

ok I'm about to watch the first two episodes yet again in preparation for today's two episodes.
