One of the most overrated drama EVER!!! Although the hype died down now, I did not get it at all.
If you look past the SongSong fame and the cutesy moments, you'll understand the real reason why it became so popular in SKorea and internationally. It revived a strong sense of patriotism in their home country and altruism (thus the reason for the name "Descendants of the Sun" in Korean). The characters were in professions where they were willing to do anything, even die, in order to fulfill their duty.

I miss DOTS so much that I felt the urge to rewatch it. I credit ths drama for rekindling my love for Korean drama after a 3-4 year hiatus (I honestly gave up watching after breezing through so many shows which failed to capture my interest!). True I liked the humor and cute interactions between the OTP and side characters. Cause it IS much lighter than the actual themes if you think about it, thank goodness. Military dramas are often dark with war and deaths and all that. I'm glad Kim Eun Sook sprinkled it with her own brand of fun. BUT what really drew me in are the moral principles, ethics, patriotism and courage that the story wanted to portray (which I'm really big on btw). I love that it kinda made Hye Kyo's character seem like one of those docs in Doctors Without Borders too. I hope I get to see more dramas like this.

Isn't the main actress's character is so annoying ? as if she isn't a doctor, she acts like she…
IKR? Why was she cast as a doctor in this drama in the first place. She's not convincing and her acting is bad.

Woah...Kim Young Kwang acted way better now as a doctor in this drama than in Good Doctor. Didn't recognize him at first. Maybe it's because of his hair? Lol. Anyway, I found this drama too lousy. I thought it had potential, kind of like "The Flu". Sigh.

UGH. Full House. I sometimes think that every compliment it gets is just rose tinted glasses and nostalgia, because…
I know haha. I dropped it because I could not stand how much of a jerk Rain's character was to Song Hye Kyo. I get that he falls in love with her later on but I hated seeing how badly he treated her. I guess the only things I liked about the whole thing was the cinematography and Song's personality. She was so different from her character in Autumn Tale. I thought it was a little refreshing. The Heirs tried a little too hard to be the Korean version of Gossip Girl. I didn't think Park Shin Hye had chemistry with Lee Min Ho either.

Never watched any of the above. Popular dramas I watched and dropped (permanently) are:
You Who Came from the Stars
The Heirs
You're Beautiful
I Hear Your Voice
Sungkyunkwan Scandal
Full House
...and these are just a few.

Because most of people were introduced to kdrama through this one. If you haven’t watched any other drama your…
Er, you got a point there. But I think even with this drama being the first for some people, a few might still think its kinda bad. Fortunately, the first drama that made me dive in for more dramas was just heart-wrenching and emotional it set my standards too high :p
On My Sassy Girl Nov 4, 2017
I must be one of the very few people in the world who disliked the original My Sassy Girl film. The girl was just way too violent and the guy was too much of a pushover. But I LOOOOVVVEEEE Joo Won, so I'll watch this next. :)

This drama is a complete mess. The plot is intriguing, but it is all over the place. Too many characters, too…
ikr? the drama is just too messy. i guess they're trying way too hard to make it intriguing.

I'm deeply in love with this drama already. And I have two new favorite actors now. Joo Won and Joo Sang Wook. First drama ever that made me cry since the first episode.

This sysnopis gave me some goblin feels, is it any good?
It's nothing like Goblin. Goblin is hilarious, witty, bittersweet with a concrete plot. you knew where the story was heading, even in the beginning. Black is just....weird. And the writing is all over the place too.

You should watch the entire series. I loved it initially because of the humor. But really, it gets bittersweet and haunting (in a good way) the further on you get. Sunny and Grim Reaper’s history is really heartbreaking though. They deserved their happy ending.

It's a drama about teenager heirs of rich families who do whatever the fuck they want and their parents are…
I think the reason for this frivolous storyline is because Kim Eun Sook planned it to be similar to Gossip Girl. Which of course failed miserably because of the major cultural differences (and GG was terrible too).

I forgot that this was one of my favorite dramas. I loved it because of the unusual relationship between Enrique and Dok Mi. This drama...it echoed an integral part in me. The characters seem very real. I especially could relate to Dok Mi's tendency to shut people out, and her loneliness. And Enrique, he may seem annoyingly goofy. But I was touched by his efforts to bring her out of her shell. Slowly. Gently. Patiently. The romance is very grounded and more realistic, which is one of the reasons why I love the drama.

Adding this now. :)

I know I love SSH but I hated When a man loves a woman because of the co-lead now i dont know about this one....
Yess the actress is really as stiff as a board. That's why I never finished that drama and only got to the first episode of the Bride of the Water God.
