unfortunately the reason there isn’t much romance between the 2 leads is cause of Chinese censorship’s laws…
Oh I know about the weird censorship about highschool romance dramas, I just wished there was more tension or chemistry maybe between the leads? Thank you though for the explanation!

Title Twelve Letters Spoiler
after finally getting through that. i really enjoyed the first 3/4 of the show. but by the end I felt like the whole thing was dragging slightly. and why was ye haitang always obsessed with fighting ye yibo even though she knows she could get killed in the process. majority of the show, is tang yixun just saving her and taking the blame when protecting her. as much as i really wanted to like ye haitang, she made it hard for me to like her with how reckless she always was. also, i hate how we got a very depressing ending for the children. like considering that tang yixun and ye haitang knew about their existence, you would think they would go find them at one point but instead they just have no correlation to them whatsoever now. and that's depressing. i guess, it could also be interpreted that they wouldn't know if its their biological kids, so they wouldn't exist in that timeline if they change the past. so that's a consideration as well. but still. it just sad. also, the whole thing about the mailbox still confuses me. was there a timeline without the mailbox at all? (so when tang yixun actually kills the guy and goes to jail and blah blah blah). so no letters? however, we don't see how they interact before those letters existed really. so like what?!?!?! if i throw away a whole load of logic, it was still enjoyable for plot. but tbh, the story was kinda obvious and was given. the execution was still pretty well done, but could have dragged less by the end. However still enjoyed it for the most part. i give a 7/10
