It will be to easy if the doctor is the killer won't it be more fun if it turned out to be Ba reum but it's kdrama…
I think the writer intended to make it obvious that Sung Yo Han is the killer but is he really? From Ko Moochi's narration of "He's good with knives and anatomy" is definitely a trick from the writer to make us believe that Sung Yo han is the real killer. Plus, they also wanted us to believe that the young doctor is Head Hunter's son, wouldn't that be too straight-forward?

Nice observation guys...I totally agree with you Namita-nim. Remember when Chi Kook described the serial killer as "Cowards who only hide" when he's scolding his friend not to join the fanclub? Jang Ba Reum was there. The watch is bought by Jang Ba Reum, though it's a fake one but definitely precious to Chi Kook.

adding to my previous comment, I think doc changed his name deliberately to 'Sung'. he knows that head hunter…
Whoa! So interesting that you look at it from that perspective! Everyone else here only think it as "Head Hunter who wanted his son to be successful" but what if "the young serial killer wanted a father figure to idolize?" is such an amazing idea. What if he pretends to look bewildered when he's asked to meet Head Hunter when his purpose from the beginning was to meet 'him'?

same. i think he's setting himself up to be his son coz he idolizes him or smth. that's why he attacked prison…
You mean, Head Hunter who desperately wanted his son to resemble him, a successful doctor and also a serial killer in disguise? I think the writer intentionally made it look like Sung Yo Han (the young surgeon) as Head Hunter's son in Ep. 2 because there's bound to be a plot twist later on. They wanted us to believe what's been shown, but our choice to believe it or not.

sorry but when jae hoo’s mother tried to kill him i saw that other lady. i think jbr is head hunter’s son…
I don't think so. The writer intended to make it look like Sung Yo Han is the Head hunter's son (probably to confuse the viewers) because Head Hunter probably wanted his son to be just like him and that's his main goal 'to create Han Seo Joon Junior', a successful doctor and also a killer but what if his son is the exact opposite? The storyline would be much better, of course, from the perspective of a writer, how would you make a plot twist? You must confuse the first part and reveal the truth in the next part. What you see in the current episode you're watching, is what the director and writer wanted us to see but is it really the truth we should believe in? LOL, I sounded very serious here, but please, I totally respect your opinion since we all have different thoughts on this drama.

Well, we rarely see a dark-hero/antagonistic ML in Korean dramas...Now we know why Lee Seunggi (the actor for Jang Ba Reum) said in one of the interviews that this drama will unfold a new 'genre' in the Korean drama industry.

Title Mouse Spoiler
Why is this drama called "Mouse"? I have a couple of theories to prove that.

1. Mouse as in for a lab mouse. I believe Dr Danielle Lee intentionally put the two pregnant mothers to a test and experimenting on how the two babies are going to live in the future. Maybe it's his own way of revenge to Head Hunter, but I still can't confirm this yet. One mother with a psychopathic gene child (Wife of Head Hunter) and one mother with a normal child, but was made to believe that her child is going to be a psychopath.

Dr Sung Yo Han is the perfect example of that. Dr Yo Han (Jaehoon) killed his family because they kept telling him that he's different, he's a monster, he's evil...eventually turned him into a real serial killer.

Meanwhile, the real Head hunter's son, Jung Ba Reum who's born with a psychopathic gene but lives a completely honest and normal life is a piece of evidence that Dr Danielle Lee's experiment was successful. Head Hunter, who desperately wanted his child to be a killer just like him would be very disappointed to see his child who turned out to be a nice guy. Maybe, this is the most painful revenge Dr Danielle Lee can give to the serial killer, Head Hunter.

2. Mouse which defies its own submissive nature. Just like the first scene in the 1st episode, the mouse who bravely attacked the snake might be a clue to the future storyline of the drama. Jung Ba Reum who seems like a total pushover could be at the end the one who puts the end to the serial killer. Though, this is highly expected because he's the protagonist of the story but you know, that way...this story would be a total cliche. Lee Seunggi told us in the interview that this drama would carve a new genre in the drama industry so the storyline should not be "cliche". Or....Jang Ba Reum is a dark-hero, someone who kills for justice. Fracture for fracture, tooth for tooth.

3. The kid who watches the mouse and the snake. The kid in yellow is Jung Ba Reum. The mouse is Ko Moochi and the snake is Dr Sung Yo Han. Try to pronounce Mouse and Moochi...It kinda rhymes. Yeah, you can imagine what happens next. The kid (Jung Ba Reum) is watching the fight between the two people, that's why he's so keen to take part in the investigation. Maybe he's the one putting variables to the murders just like how he put a mouse in the snake cage. Though we don't know what's that going to be....

By the way, did you guys notice that there was a guy in a brown coat next to the prison doctor when he answered the phone call that Officer Na Chi Kook was hurt? I think that's Dr Sung Yo Han. So, yes, Na Chi Kook was almost murdered by the killer and that's why his watch was on the hanging girl crime scene!

Yes, I also think that Jang Ba Reum is not the killer...But the last scene of the 2nd episode really makes us wonder whether Jang Ba Reum is a nice guy or not. Remember when Choi PD read the line from the bible, "Fracture for fracture, tooth by tooth but I wonder if Sung Su Ho had burned the killer's close friend to death"....... whether it's for revenge or justice, I think Jang Ba Reum is going to venture into his psychopathic nature so that's why the synopsis says 'Jung Ba Reum finds his life completely changing before his eyes.'

I agree with you. When Dr Sung Yo Han was asked to meet Head Hunter, I think the director intentionally wanted the viewers to think that the doctor is Head Hunter's son. But in fact, Jung Ba Reum is his real son. But we still don't know the true nature of Jung Ba Reum....is he really a good guy?

My theory is...Jang Ba Reum is definitely not the killer. But, he is Head Hunter's son because when young teen Ko Moochi came to visit Ji Eun at her flower shop, Head Hunter's son's voice didn't sound like Jae-hoon at all. So, Jae-hoon is now the doctor Sung Yo Han. He's the killer, but I think the more we dive into this drama, I think our ML, Jung Ba Reum is going to venture his psychopathic side and kill the killer, Sung Yo Han. From the last scene of Episode 2, Sung Yo-han is talking about Jang Ba Reum, "I wonder if the other kid is a predator like me or became a normal person unlike me"

This scene really makes us wonder, whether Officer Jung Ba Reum is a good guy or not.
