This is one of the comments I found when watching the trailer. I just thought I need to share with you.
Phi Pres: It would be interesting if the idea of the plotline was something similar to: at first it seems that the 'mouse' refers to a cat and mouse type chase/battle between killer/cop, good/evil, but then it later is revealed that 'mouse' actually refers to testing mice/lab rats. That if, in this fictional world. you can test for psychopathy on a fetus (which is what I understand is part of the storyline) then others have been testing the nature/nurture theory on children born with that tendency. Maybe the MC is a 'successful' test mouse but then things derail later one when the 'nature' part starts to compete/override the 'nurture' part - then also it's not a white/good cop vs a black/evil killer but a grey vs darker grey/black. Would be an interesting twist to explore.

OMG I just noticed that Jaehoon is the young Jang Ba Reum in the cast list! That changes everything....My theory now is.. 1. Jang Bareum is Head Hunter's child and also Jaehoon. He pretends to be kind but he kills people like his father. 2. Jang Bareum is the other lady's child who got beaten up as a child, but not the Head Hunter's child. The kid in yellow uniform is. The guy who's surrounded by the murder pictures is Head Hunter's child and the kid in yellow uniform, but not Jang Ba reum.
But still, we don't know the true nature of Jang Bareum. Is he really a nice guy?
Edit: I watched the trailer, I'm sure that Jang Bareum's crush, Oh Bong Yi is killed by "someone" who's likely to be Head Hunter's child and he's taking revenge for that and is trying to catch the guy. But I just can't help but to imagine how thrilling would it be if we have Lee Seung gi as a psychopath....Just WoW.

I agree with you! I personally think the kid in the yellow kindergarten coat is Jang Ba Reum but not Jaehoon! He loves mouse, just like his dad.....who gave Dr Daniel a box of mice as a present but I think Head Hunter's plan has failed, you know...he wanted a Han Seo Joon Junior who's going to be just like him but rather Jang Ba Reum is a nice guy.......or not. We don't know that yet because we're still in the 1st ep.

What if the little boy who gave a mouse to the snake is Jang Ba Reum (who resembled Head Hunter a lot when he gave Dr Daniel a box of mice) and Jaehoon is the other woman's child....? So, I kinda think Jang Ba Reum is the small kid, though at the end we see a guy surrounded by pictures of dead people. I think he's either a killer or just a cop investigating murder. But he is not Jaehoon, for sure. (They put Jaehoon's voice in the background "So I became a killer" but then shows Jaehoon killing his stepfather, so they were just trying to confuse us.
Okay, this is my analysis but Idk if this makes any sense, but I think there are 3 people connected to each other in this story, who one of them is likely to be the "killer" in this story.
The story starts with a little boy, in a yellow uniform who feeds a mouse to the snake in the zoo and this behaviour, later on, resembles Head Hunter, who gave Dr Daniel two mice, one adult and one baby mouse. This little boy in yellow is revealed at the end to be the one who is surrounded by gruesome pictures, but we still don't know if he's a killer or just a cop investigating murders at his own home. My theory is the yellow kid is indeed Head Hunter's child. Though the back silhouette reminds me of Lee Seung Gi, that is my assumption as a hardcore fan of him LOL.
Here's a thing, remember when we go back 10 years ago, and there's this little girl who helped his father with his murders? I think there was another killer in the picture, where did this little girl come from? We know that Head Hunter is awaiting his own child with his pregnant wife, Ji Eun so there's no way he's bringing another child to his killing grounds. We don't know the identity of the girl yet, but we know that this girl would play a big role in the future. Then, we could see a Shin Seong Min, the one who denied the bill to abort fetuses who have psychopath genes just because his wife was pregnant...What will happen to his child in the future?
We know that Head Hunter was Dr Daniel's sister, Jennifer's boyfriend, from a polaroid picture and then, it was revealed that Head Hunter, Dr Daniel's own friend was the one who killed Jennifer. Head Hunter's wife, Ji Eun, never met Dr Daniel before because he didn't go to their wedding. After that, the story goes into Ko Moochi's family perspective who had been killed by Head Hunter. Ko Moochi grew up to be a cop and Jang Bareum/Lee Seunggi's partner in the office. He's a little crazy, but I think he's a good guy.
Remember when Head Hunter dropped off Dr Daniel at the Hotel, and there was this lady who kept bothering him? Who's the lady? Is she the one who's sitting next to Head Hunter's wife at the hospital? And, when Head Hunter's wife found out about the test results, Dr Daniel was handing a document to someone in a car, which was very very suspicious. I suspect the man in the car is Shin Seong Min and I think his child is also a psychopath LMAO.
Anyway, we can see a boy, maybe 10 years old or so, Jaehoon, was praying to God not to make him a monster...But this line of his "But...I became a killer" was referring to him killing his stepfather. Is he the same person as the boy in the yellow uniform who took the mouse? Is the one choking Jaehoon really was Head Hunter's wife? (though it sounds like her we can only see a little bit, so it's undecided.) And the creepy doctor in the 2nd episode's preview! Whose son is he?
Jang Ba Reum is likely to be the other lady's child who sat next to Head Hunter's wife. "I will show that Dr Daniel is wrong" and Jang Ba Reum was raised in a loving household. Or, Jang Ba Reum could be both the killer and Head Hunter's child.........That would be daebak.

I think the one who's choking Jaehoon is not Han Seo Joon/Head Hunter's wife but the other lady who her husband died in a car accident! Maybe the lady remarried. What if Lee Seung gi is the Head Hunter's child and he, himself doesn't know it and then they are going to meet his father in the prison in the nest episode? Wow. Idk why but I feel like the storyline has no plot twist, It's already ep 12, shouldn't the writer gives us a plot twist by now? Ep 1-Ep4 was good and unexpected but Ep 5-Ep 12 was heartbreaking. How come Dongsik gets his memory back after drinking? If so, he should've get it from the beginning since Inwoo had invited him to drink several times already.

Hm..In the 1st episode, DS always go back home earlier than his coworkers. Walking Bogyeong dad's dogs AT NIGHT might just be an alibi. We never know who the real DS was bfore the accident. We assume that he's just a pushover before..and now, he thinks he's a psychopath. What if he was actually worse than IW? And all of IW's false assumptions abt DS were actually true?

I think the writer intentionally made DS looking so dumb like that. What if the diary actually has Inwoo's name on it..and DS knew from the beginning that Inwoo is the killer and he's just acting like he doesn't know? That'd be a total plot twist.
I wish the leads were a bit smarter because shii about to pop off....
Honestly Yoon siyoon is potraying his character very well because the writer intentionally wanted to make DS looks dumb. In their TvN interview, DS is described as "호구" which is dumb, innocent and a pushover.

Did y'all watch the making for ep 9 & 10? Because in that vid, DS literally spoiled us the ending but the crew censored it.. So long story short, some Korean netizens actually did lipreadings and he said "Actually Dongsik knew that Inwoo is a killer from the beginning but he is just acting like he doesn't know"
