My guilty pleasure drama. It's pretty morally and probably objectively bad, but it's a cloyingly sweet and sort of innocent show that I enjoy watching to distract myself from the stresses of the real world. This will be my 3rd Christmas season in a row watching this drama. So each re-watch, I can see myself maturing and reflecting on the year. It's been enjoyable, even if some scenes in this drama are horrifically embarrassing.
C dramas are usually really fatphobic. How is this drama? Good or more of the old cliche Chinese style portrayal…
The drama starts off being a bit harsh on her but she gains respect pretty quickly. More of the jokes are about her "ugliness" than her weight, or if they are about her weight they're implied.
I am so happy I chanced upon this drama. I've been binge watching it after work and it's literally perfect. it's silly but not stupid and the FL seems like a person I'd love to be friends with
