He is so good. Loved him as young Wuji in Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre. To me he was the best thing about that version.

This had so much potential to be good, but alas...the writing was horrible. So many plot holes. So many conveniently and quickly wrapped up conflicts without any depth in story development. The actors and actresses did what they could but with a plot so thinly veiled, it became unbearable to watch at times.

Considering that the series is called "The Wolf," you would've thought that they'd dig into and develop the story of how he came to be. Nope. This show was more like "The Ma Zhaixing Show." I'll just say when you're watching a show and you have more empathy towards the secondary and even tertiary characters, rather than the main leads, then there's a problem. Every one of her actions made absolutely no sense. She's conveniently smart at moments that is convenient to the thin plot, but oftentimes, everything she did was utterly annoying and stupid. Don't even get me started about them replaying the main love theme song for every potential couple nor the rap interrupting a dramatic moment in the story. I love rap, but just comapletely takes you out of the moment of the series. And it happens so often in this series.

Don't get me wrong I like the actors and actresses in this series, and like I said ...they did their best with what they were given. It's just really crappy writing.
